Went looking for some grouse. No luck, but it's always good to be in the woods.

Got the shop cleaned and organized for the start of our next 2 Saturday SOA party. Was planning on finishing the 80s teardown but had 2 emergency no water service calls.

Today I finally picked up the 4plus bumper from @Rustic76. Toured his awesome collection of Landcruisers which was worth it by itself.

It’s just been cluttering up the garage floor and had I just enough time to go and get it.

Got back to shop and was too excited to just drop off the bumper and leave. Got tools out and removed the old rivets and bracket for the stock bumper. Set the 4plus in its new home.

I’ve owned several over the years. Quality knife, I usually take my Half Faced blade camping, however, I was in a rush to get out there and forgot it.
Agreed .its a "buy once, cry once"Item. .i always leave one in the truck . purchased first one in 09 when still in the sand overseas.

Ah Nevermind, sorry. I just read it.
So a better question what is the weight savings for the aluminum version?

The steel front approx. 110# with bar. I don't know the exact weight difference yet but based on steel plate (3/16) at 7.65# and aluminum (1/4) at 3.50#; it should ring in around the 50# mark.

Made havoc with my truck this weekend .

Started my fan shroud mod. It's in two pieces now and needs to get finished with pop-rivets .

Cleaned up the front end. Ripped out old heater hoses and oil cooler hoses.

Kind of bent the water heater valve. Any suggestions on ways to resend without breaking it? See picture.

Spent some quality time degreasing and cleaning up the upper and lower thermostat housing.

Exploded my AC Condenser with my drill by accident .Whoops. That system had a lot of pressure .Was not expecting that.

Excited to out it all back together again.

I left my grandfather's Buck knife in my truck. It was stolen one night while my truck was in the driveway. Lose once, cry lots...
