View attachment 1635839 My daughter wanted to go to the father daughter dance in the Blue 60, over the 100. Not a bad choice

I know, it's an 80, but when the chance came for this truck for $1500 it was a no brainer even though my daughter was almost 15 then. Worth waiting for her to drive it. She loves it and so do I.

Looks even better now

The really cool thing is that she digs the 60 too!

Great photos, dads! Love the 5000 lb matching accessory to the blue dress. Cool.

Took a trip out to the desert...

Nothing but dirt as far as the eye can see.

Gauge spikes may come back as the issue is related to the fuel gauge.
From all I’ve read on here I would agree with you. But it has gone from gauge spikes every time the 60 was driven for over a year(happened 100% of the time every drive), to no gauge spikes at all for several hundred miles driven now. All that was changed was the fuel level sensor in the back, and nothing done to the dash gauge itself.

You've been very meticulous with your rebuild of your 60 so maybe you've stumbled upon another source of the gauge spiking. I bet a lot of folks will now be looking at the fuel sending unit as a source of the issue. Please keep us posted.

Was left on the side of the road again.

Wasn't getting any fuel to the carb!
Replaced the fuel filter and this is what I got! "SLUDGE" Replaced it with a new one and she runs now!
I know it's not just that. It's a deeper fix.
Going to drop the fuel tank and have it cleaned out. And blow out the lines.

Even though the 60 is parked for winter my daughter wanted to work it and on her Toyota too. We greased the driveline on the 60 and did a safety check of the princess FJ Cruiser. We just got 6 inches of snow last night and spring can’t come any quicker.

It's not that bad man. It's easier to drop tank than deal with unforcasted stops.
DO IT

You know you can make that thing far more driveable in poor conditions... I bought one mountain bike tire, and attached it to my sons rear tires on his gator w/ short deck screws. One tire was enough to do not quite both but it’s enough. He can drive over anything now.

Baseball practice. Bennett said I parked to far away from the fields!

Yeah it really wasn't so bad dropping it.
Hopefully she cleans up well after.
Fingers crossed.

I cleaned mine twice myself and then still ended up paying $82 to have it professional done in a vat of acid stuff.

Hindsite, should have saved $30 in cleaners and 1-2 hours of my time and gone straight to radiator cleaner place.

Yeah, I just figure have a shop do it if they have all the chemicals and tanks for it.
Don't want to mess with all them chemicals around the house.
