Started the weekend early. First long ride with the new BMW seats.

You should draw a circle around that picture and make a patch sticker! That would be cool!

Had some crazy gauges lately with some fuel and temp gauges spiking. Checked the condition of the tank fuel level sensor and found the culprit.

Swapped it out with a brand new OEM one.

Got it back out on the road and gauges have been working good for the last hundred miles or so with no spikes.

Ran a couple neck snapping quarter mile runs with the 87 FJ60 5.3 swap. Going to upgrade to a 5.3 with Z06 cam so I needed a before basis point. Not horrible for a 2 1/2 ton truck. We’ll see how it does after the upgrade

Installed my replacement air pump!
So far it sounds good.
The last one had a loud noise to it!

Gauge spikes may come back as the issue is related to the fuel gauge.

I know, it's an 80, but when the chance came for this truck for $1500 it was a no brainer even though my daughter was almost 15 then. Worth waiting for her to drive it. She loves it and so do I.

The really cool thing is that she digs the 60 too!
