Ugly all right. Same colors as my 62. The rims are OK. Please don't put black wheels on it.
Not a fan of black wheels? Red and black is usually a good combo. I will not be buying anything for this one for a while as I am flat broke until I sell something!

Tested the overhauled wiper linkage and new 4Runner wiper arms in some heavy wet snow and rain. It was also the first time taking out new hound out for a good snow romp with his 2 other dog brothers.

All went very well!

Man, I bet the pup loves that sliding rear window. Great shot!

They do love the sliding windows! The sliders are one of the best mods to our 60, and when ever the 60 starts they want to go.

I set the rear up just for them with widow bars and a barrier behind the seat. The big hounds each have a window and really love to look out and sniff as we travel.

So excited to finish this addition to our cruiser for this very reason. Dogs and cruisers! :) I need to make some barrier bars like you did!

I love the sliding rear windows and I have also been toying with the idea of the flip up "hatch" style windows. Looks like a bit more fab work than the sliders but another cool option.

While I would love to do this I can't bring myself too. Our old yellow lab/pit mix that we had used to love sticking his head out the rear windows of the shell on our old Ford Ranger. No matter what we put in his way he seemed to always get through it or pull it out of the way. When we were finally getting around to figuring out how to hard mount something in the window is when we lost him. He fell out of the truck while going around a turn up in Lake Tahoe at about 45mph. We lost him in the wilderness for 8days but luckily found him no worse for the wear other than being skinny, starving, some road rash, sun burnt and fur missing from his nose from pushing under fences and what not.

Only residual item he had from that was a slight limp when the weather got cold. Never found any breaks or anything but he passed from an aggressive form of bone cancer in the shoulder that he limped on. Seems like he may have had a hairline fracture there from falling out as Ostiosarcoma is known for starting in spots that have had previous breaks. Anyways, just cant bring myself to do that again, hell I have a hard time leaving the dogs in the truck with the window rolled down more than a couple inches because of his dumb ass.

I too was worried about our fur kids getting out one of the sliders, so I made the window bars and barrier.

I'll post a couple of pics of what I made when I get home. They work well and were sized and height adjusted for our hounds.

There was someone in the 80 section (need to find thread) that made a cool set of bars to cover the factory sliders. Not sure he is still making them but looked like a good design.

I have not done a thing but drive mine lately, since my big H55F install and rebuild from flywheel back effort! My rebuilt JimC dizz has been sitting in a box for months (still running the TH "test" spare), cause I'm too busy (lazy) to even put that back on. Ha

Time to do some work: I ordered some new shoulder belts for a rear-seat retrofit, and I'm getting ready to do a bunch of work up front including rebuild the knucks and install new tie rod ends. Oh, and put in the dizzy.

Got the transmission cooler in the mail today. Need to fabricate some mounts:

Trying to figure out the best line route. Do people have the lines run through the large hole in the frame below the radiator?:

Seems like a direct path to the tranny cooler lines in the engine bay.

Forgot to take pics, but I went over to @CaptClose 's last night and watched him and his son finish up the install of a brand new PS pump. I'm sure he'll be posting a picture soon. After that, we pulled my truck in and I installed a new driver side motor mount. Had a couple of complications, but finally got it in. While I was doing that, Ryan pulled and cleaned my driver side hub - it fully locks now! We also moved one vacuum line and adjusted the @Trollhole carb a bit to idle around 750. I'm still having issues with the TH carb, however... hopefully will get that figured out soon.

I run mine on the same opening where the AC line (shown in the first pic) comes out .. as there are no sharp edges that could chafe the hose. I also run it inside another hose for good measure..

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was enough room there but sounds like it will work. That would be the cleanest route. Thanks!

Opened up the box this weekend and began the decent into trying to build an AC system to my TBI swap where this is none currently. May God guide me through this journey into the Texas Heat.

Also Creeped on a fellow FJ60 lover for the first time today. Good guy very friendly and a sweet cruiser. I offered to re-upholster his seats for some cash or maybe trade for that roof rack :). I'm hoping to creep on more Austin Cruisers when I have time. I've been seeing them more and more. I dont know if they are moving here or I never looked before? The same questionable thing happened when I had an E46 M3? I dont know but I'm loving my cruiser more all the time!
