Made some progress on the 60 early in the weekend (later in the weekend was busy getting staples in the back of my head...long story). Got some nice reminder stickers put on.

We are getting all the interior cleaned up and treating any minor rust areas inside before slowly getting it all back together. Getting at all interior roof, body and door cracks and crevices while it is all apart. It will be nearly rust free when we are done. Slowly coming together!!!

Cruiser is looking good and after you spend some time with it you will discover that driving a 60 >>> driving an 80.

This is also a thread where we welcome injury photos :( whether Cruiser inflicted or not.

good looking cruiser,suits you Jen

Upgraded my brake system in the middle of my LS swap. Used a 93 4Runner brake booster (mounted upside down due to bolts and the shaft alignment in firewall), and used a 1 ton 1" T-100 Master Cylinder. All the lines bolted up as they should have. I did a lot of reading and cant find anywhere where the booster has to be mounted a certain way. Please chime in if I'm mistaken.

Staples...in the head? I see the 60 is getting a new headliner but you, too??!!

They are pretty gross, but I don't mind sharing. I posted this in the 80 section earlier. And it's semi cruiser related, since I wouldn't have been at this team Toyota Hawaii event if it wasn't for my Land Cruisers! Basically, started out great with all smiles....then went bad quick on some ice skates, ending in 6 staples in my head.

And no new headliner for me @Bear Lake Cruiser just some temporary stainless steele hardware!

I bet you have alot of followers Aloha jen ;)

I've never seen a steering skid on a 60. Not sure I like the look but to each his own.

Me either but, after I dropped down on a log and bent my bars I always wanted to build one. So, now its here. What is nice is you have to look underneath to see it. Its pretty tucked away.

And yes to each their own.

I'm curious as to how you mounted your skid. Is it solid mounted or set to articulate with the axle?

I don't care for it, but being that it is tucked away that's a plus I think....

I had a hwy gator ( 18 wheeler tire retread) come fast at me and bent my steering stabilizer.... Thank you ARB bull bar.....

The new stabilizer is on, but exposed still....
Hope to never go through that ever again....

Today I installed my Turbosmart boost controller, and adjusted the boost from 7.5 to 10psi, with an increase in fuel to (hopefully) match. I did a highway acceleration test to 110km/hr after each adjustment to check boost, egt, and time. Settled on what I believe is a good compromise between power, smoke, and egts... I will book it in for a dyno tune after Xmas / New Years just to ensure what I have done won't affect engine reliability...
