Woke up to 38 degrees in south Texas, about 100 miles round trip, cookout and oldest son with a little target practice with his traditional bow (RER)

Blew my third birf... Time for an upgrade..

Nope, no ins agent here. I just got texts from @landcrusher909 launching his and saw a few others on fb. Looked like tons of fun.

Haha mine was the green 80 launched pretty hard with Rob haha Rob has my dune flag too and I gave them my extra day of camping I purchased and wasnt gonna use.

That was another great pismo trip, really feel like i broke in my 80 for good now

Rob is a fantastic guy. Has helped me many times with my 60 dilemmas. He was the first here on mud to hear me as I finished up my gear box rebuild back in May and give me huge kudos. Such a bummer CT and CA aren't next door to each other. And yes the pixs he posted on fb and the tlca page were really awesome. Me personally, I would have just been one of the folks too angst up to launch my truck. ;)

Once you start railing on trucks it gets easier, I am proof that cruisers can take one hell of a licking and (mostly) keep going. Great rigs, My old 60 took a hell of a beating most winters when she was running. Wish I could contribute more to the 60 section but mine was a v8 swap and my advice is usually: Ignore it, Cut it off, Bailing wire, Do a legit fix. in that order :hillbilly:

the 60 got new headlight screens, they came chrome but rattle canned them black......bringing back good feeling from the 80's

all the cruisers are getting new dip sticks......(they are for a fj62 but fit ALL f motors)

the 60 got a new check valve for the leaking headlight washer. and some new window washer hose.

the 62........well Jared and I finally got the belts sorted out, this started 4 years ago when we took the 62 into the dealer to get the AC charged, I had asked them to put a new AC belt on at the same time, well they screwed up all the belts, took it back same story, once again.....they could not get them right. Seeing how my wife prefers me to not work on here Cruiser, I had Jared do the belts, well he had some issues as well. So this sunday we finally got them all sorted out, the kid was able to get his mind around it and its all good

the 60 had some overspray on it on from when the gutters re-sealed, so Jeff who did the work said bring over and he would take a clay bar to it and make it go away, he did.

I like the old school fog lamps. What are they?

Cibie oscar plus with true amber lens....Cibie stopped making them in the late 80's, there is a chemical thst was used in the lens that has been banned. so what's out there is it. you can still get then with a clear lens, either fog or driving. I have a "few" sets.....

I 1st used Cibie lights back in 1982 and have been in love with then since.

Warning . ...do not put the lens covers on and forget to turn off the lights....I cracked a lens, but it's still holding up, waiting for it to fall out one day and I will then use a spare lens ;)

Yellow or amber works well in fog, rain and snow.....but I like them because they are very visable....I consider them idiot avoidence lights ;) and they look cool to boot..

Oh I get what your saying in some ways, have repaired a sheared keyway here on my truck. I just know the condition of my suspension and tie rods, ect wouldn't take that much abuse. So far she runs but have yet to drive it, trying my damnedest to get all the vac lines plumbed right and get her to run w/o choke. I'm getting there...
Today, thanks to the wild invention of face time I have my vac lines far more right than they were thanks to @Cruiser Jimmy.
