I know its early, but are you getting any noise from the poly bushings yet?

I put about 60 miles of offroad and 300 miles of pavement on the new springs since I put them on. So far, they're nice and quiet, but maybe that's only compared to the beaten-to-hell old bushings? Definitely seems quieter on bumps that ever before, though.

Did an oil change, changed fuel filter, cleaned underneath, then spent a couple of hours chilling out on the beach....

Pulled the wiring harness from my '89 FJ62 to get it ready for installation in my '86 FJ60 project:

After that, pulled the firewall insulation pads and cleaned them up. I should have already known, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that the penetration for the clutch is already there from the factory. So it should swap right over.

Finally got my tail light working (can now pass inspection, so I will be officially legal this week!). I am assuming the PO used the aftermath of a dumpster fire as a wiring diagram to install trailer lighting and the tail light splices finally gave out...

With the '60? Nuthin'. I did go to the destruction derby at the County Fair in Durango, CO though.
Highlights: A Honda Civic took third place overall. A 80-something 'Burb was winning when he hit a Ford pickup and rolled on his side. Naturally I have no pictures of any of this.

Changed the oil. Corrected "death wobble" with appropriate caster shims. Pulled it out of the garage for a family photo. View attachment 1306601

Did the Dusy Ershim Trail over 4 days. Virtually no one was on the trail. We saw 5 Jeeps on day 3, and no one else. First pic is right on the shore of Courtright Lake. Middle picture is our day 2 camp. Last pic is above 10,000 feet and above the treeline. Best trail ever.

Especially if the FNADs are positive!

Spare front spring. A broken main leaf on a remote trail sucks. The rears are heavier duty Chevy springs and I'm not as worried about them. I've lent one to a guy at Rubithon 3 years ago, and this year I needed to pull a set of bushings out to repair a front set that turned to powder on the trail leaving the spring banging around in the hole.

What's with the spring pack on the bull bar?
