so how difficult was to rebuild the Carb?
Not that bad honestly. The worst part was having to cut one of my 12mm wrenches in half to get to the 4 mounting bolts and the easy outs I needed to get the stripped screws one of the previous owners left in it.

A pic of the side bolsters added to seat backs.

Finished seats

First impressions from test drive. Love it. Night and day difference. Granted I have not done any 8 hour drives yet :), but so far loving it. Very firm, but not rock hard. Much more supportive - actually feel like I am sitting in a seat not on top of the corner of a lumpy old metal box spring mattress. No more needing to lean when I take a corner. Additional bolster build on bottom and seat back feels good. Feels like I got a suspension upgrade too :)

On to the next project...
Nice job, great ColorSync

Drove 1442 miles in 2 days to bring home my first 60 series! Thanks again @Rockets2000
Glad you made it back safe! Take care of the old truck, It's approaching "survivor" status.

Went camping. Old stove kicked, wood got wet, went home early. No biggie.

Finally finished the quiet crap install. Talk about a project not to do in the summer! I probably lost 10pounds in water/sweat. At least I know the foil backing works well. :D Now comes the CCF then the MLV!

Hey, Red66toy...how much square footage did you need to do it? Looking to do the same and was wondering how much to order? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks.

See I was able to take mine off just fine. Maybe that is the difference with all the smog stuff removed.

Well I didn't have any wrenches short enough to get between the valve cover and the passenger side nuts, so out came the hacksaw to sacrifice my cheapest 12mm. (I think I have something like 6 of them at this point...:wrench:) But not having the air injection rail in the way could certainly have made them easier to reach.

@The Machinist Did you get it smog? Glad you got the carb done i'm sure it will make a difference.

True, no air rail and the valve cover off make a big difference I am sure.

Hey there,
So I used about 50sqf, but I covered more than you technically need to. I ordered 100sqf of the 80mil and have some left over, which is good because I still need to put some in the doors.

I gave $50 for 20' 1/2" of copper line at the Home Depot. Guy at the Hydraulic Supply House charged me $30 to bend and crimp. $80 not too shabby. OEM is 13mm but hard to come by in the U.S. I thought about deleting mine too, but in the end, had to stay OG.
