Says it’s number 429 in their book. I chose this color because it was recommended to me by the manager. Closely matches the wheels and it doesn’t clash with the factory door jam paint as much. It’s a Urethane/ clearcoat integrated. I originally wanted the factory color however it was explained to me it was explained to me that silver shows blemishes more and the metallic silver would have been more $$$.

I have a spare set of stocker airbags in a rocket box. . . . Just in case.
Removed the pioneer platform to drill out a clouple holes and shift the lot forward to get the fairing off the glass and better center fore-aft. I also drilled and fitted hardware to two other crossbars tyeing them to the perimeter as well, ergo potentially more stiffening; all told, it's better centered now. I did trend to the rear (IMO) from original install.

It was a blast- - I love shoulder season in the desert! We did it in 3 days with the GX, a truck, nine bikes, and two babies. I kind of want to do it in a day on a mountain bike now...WRR is awesome! How many days, did you do a 3 might trip? How big of a group?

Spare airbags would have been nice. We tried to patch one with a bike tire boot and duct tape, but that worked as well as you might expect.

I parked mine for the week while I was at SEMA. Guess I get to see how well my disconnects etc worked!
Last night built some storage drawers. I wanted some dobinson or arb drawers but The price tag for those are steep. Cost me about 200 bucks total. Threw some handles and barn locks on the side I’m happy

I paid 800 for a urethane+clear. Stripping the hood where I had rust and fixing chips, scratches, and dents was a extra 200. Would be about 600 for just the paint. If you have minor scratches and stuff I think it’s like a extra 70 bucks. Thanks and good luck!

That looks phenomenal! Got a few questions about it if you don't mind.
- Which plastidip colors did you use?
- How many coats did you do?
- Was the process spraying the whole thing black, then doing the dark gray on the emblem?
Black plastidip for the grille. I think I did 6 or 7 coats. There are lots of nooks and crannies to get covered up so take your time and spray at different angles.
The emblem piece unscrews from the back side. I used adhesion promoter and 3 coats of regular paint for it. I think the color was Ford Gray by Duplicolor Perfect Match. I can check when I get home. It was what I had on the shelf from a previous project. I also sprayed on a clear coat.
Awesome, thank you for the details! That sounds like the perfect project over some beers on a Saturday. Good to know about the emblem - didn't realize it came off that easily.
If you have time / remember to check the gray color, awesome. If not, no worries at all. I can find a gray that I like.
Dupli Color Perfect Match Medium Charcoal Metallic BFM0225. It is a Ford color. It is lighter grey in person and if I had to do it over again I'd go with a darker gunmetal. I have a ton of spray paint on the shelf from projects over the years so I didn't want to add another can to the collection.
