Today I removed the center console and the storage box with the DVD player. Something had been stuck in the recess where the doors slide open, and it was preventing them from opening all the way. They had been stuck since I bought the car, and I finally got around to fixing it today.

couldn’t believe how much stuff was stuck in there from the previous owner: roll of tums, Bluetooth ear piece for a phone, container of tooth picks, and a small case containing foldable reading glasses.

the doors now open all the way, and I can open the DVD player for the first time.

Funny what you find in used vehicles sometimes. When I bought my 65 Mustang I found a small Robin action figure and thought was kinda cool so I kept on the dash.

that’s rad! This is the first time I’ve found anything more than old McDonald’s fries or loose change.

shocked that much stuff was able to get crammed into the gap where the doors retract. Definitely instituting a hard ban on anything smaller than a wallet going into that console box.

Changing out the plugs at 90k miles. I bought it over the summer and there was no service record of plugs getting changed out so I went ahead and did it. Pulled out NGK and replaced with Denso. Diff service next.

Installed a Califab led amber/white light bar kit for the Prinsu rack.

I find myself getting into my camp spot after dark often when I leave after I get off work. This will make driving in dense PNW forests in low light a non-issue.

I have amber pods up front on the bumper, I chose to go with the combo light bar for snow driving. Blue is the best color for snow, but I didn't want blue lenses on an overhead light bar, nor was it an option. Amber is an effective alternative.

Edit:

This wasn't today but just added the JW Offroad tire carrier too.

I swear this just happened to me yesterday. It jammed open but it was like 17 degrees out so I figured I’d mess with it later....if I find anything worth mentioning I will report back

Haha definitely share if you find anything interesting in there. Maybe there can be "what things fell into the void of your center console" thread or something.

How are you liking the prinsu? I am leaning that direction unless there are some good Black Friday sales

Friday I bought it... 09 116k Nav, non sport

(sorry only photo I have... before they detailed it)

Saturday I swapped the Headlights and Foglights to HID (had to bake the Fogs and remove the glare deflector, only to realize I could have done it without all that... ) 55w HID from Theretrofitsource.com. Even with the glare blocker removed, the Foglights don't cause issues for oncoming cars, and really spread the light side to side. Also installed the Grom Vline2.

Sunday I installed my Cell Booster. and tried to restore my headlights with the Mcguire headlight restore kit... no luck. think it needs more than 1000 and 3000 grit sand paper... maybe a 200 and 800 step. but honestly think I'll just buy some DEPO sport lights...

Anyone else with the Vline having issues with the bluetooth setting turning every time you turn the car off? I have to manually turn on the bluetooth for the Vline EVERY TIME, then it auto connects. very annoying.

Finally took my truck offroad and accidentally went down a trail into a rock garden with some 2' tall rocks. Made it through with no damage other than a very slightly bent stock skid that I pushed back out thanks to a great spotter and moving a few rocks. Then I got to play around in the mud and the water. Its amazing how capable these trucks are stock. Also got a $100 white knuckle gift card so sliders here I come!

How much of a pain was this? Mine has been stuck since I bought it two years ago and I dont feel like breaking any interior pieces in the process..........

This was yesterday but.... OME mediums all around sitting at roughly 24" hub to fender at all corners. I'm happy.
