How is the trail up to that location? I’m heading out next spring for an extended trip and working on a trail list. The Mrs. is not a huge adventure person, learned that the hard way w/ the FJ. Need some trails that she won’t spend most of the day walking!

It is harder than it used to be. Need armor and skill.

Thanks. Should have enough time behind the wheel in the woods to see what she can do by next spring. Still getting used to the less than favorable approach and departure angle (fat *ss) of the GX. But should have lockers and armor wrapped up by then.

Hard-wired our 450p into the trunk. Engine compartment would have been easier, but now there's less heat, dust, and we don't look stranded on the side of the road with our hood open as we air back up.

Still have the stock rubber nubs holding the compressor to the plate, but that will probably change.

dude I thought it was the SSO, well done!

View attachment 1687816 View attachment 1687817 I pretty much finished installing my rack that I designed in CAD and had cut. The crossbars are 10 series extrusion and super versatile! Paint matched to onyx black. I really liked the SSO rack and the new Prinsu wasn't out when I started , but wanted some options I didn't see available .... Mostly a lower price tag for my cheap ass! Really pleased with the end result!

Doing a few crazy things: Slinky rear springs, LRA tank, and had a nomad valve body installed:

Flew to ATL and bought it. Now driving back to California. This is our first 120 series and will be the wife's daily driver. Currently it is our adventure machine as we cross the country. Even found a little dirt for her to stretch the legs of the GX. She did great and GX made the trail look pedestrian.

Any idea the make of the bar that holds the bumper lights?
@Webguy Light bar is from a company called Defiant Truck Products. My understanding is they no longer are in business.

@DanKunz a few questions on the nomad valve body. Which one did you go with and where did you source it, I noticed on the Australian site, it doesn't list the v8 as an option for the Prado. Secondly, what was the main impetus for the upgrade? How was the install? Finally, how do you like it?
Thanks!
