Over the past few days my son & I changed the oil, swapped the oil filter, super-douched the K&N, & cleaned the carb. Today we swapped the plugs, put in a new fuel filter & installed a new rubber pad (the VW one that SOR sells) on the accelerator.

All super-simple maintenance items but what a difference. Sounds like a finely tuned tractor & the accelerator pad led to a huge gain in our 0-60 times.

Did a pad originally come on the accelerator pedal?

Correct. Little 3"hole saw and some quick primer to cover the raw metal and they were in.

better get actual paint on there. primer is porous and holds moisture.

so not actual s/t/t lights. how are you going to work brake and t/s lighting?

Roger on the paint. Meant to say paint but was looking at the primer can when i was typing. :)

They will be running lights. I am putting my reverse an brake/turn signals in the bumper I'm almost finished building. I also thought about putting some rectangular brake/turn LEDs in the current blank spot higher on the fender. Still trying to figure what to do with that area (i.e. rounds vs rectangles vs...?).

Bob - those look sweet! Just don't get any rock chips, or you'll have to do it all over again! :-P
