what did you expect w/ a pig!!! Gotta be smarter than the steel.....bend it, punch holes in it melt it together and somehow get it to bolt up to the back of the block...IOW, customize your engine stand.

Sorry but this is not my engine stand. Sorry for any confusion.

We know you're sorry, now apologize:flipoff2:(JK)It is not for you to be sorry for my confusion. I take full credit for that.

Fit and finish work is a slow process. I had a really hard time with the slocruiser half window seals they are really soft and took alot of work to get into place. But they look really good now that they are in. The vent windows are the Bee Knees they really look good, alot softer the OEM but really look good. Youve really got to lube them up with soap and water to get them to slide in place. I'm going to do a tread hith lots of pics once complete

Got my drivers door hinge rebuilt using the napa kit. I hacksaw'd the original pin in three pieces, and got two out no problem with a BFH. The one ear was stuck and I couldn't get it to budge, so I ended up drilling it out, which worked fine. Drilled out the center section of the hinge, new bushings and pin and walla no saggy drivers door! Woohoo!

Can ya just hang it from the cherry picker while you work on it? :meh:

Finally got the stand to work just had any idiot moment. But now i have a bigger problem on of the cylinder was is gouge with a groove form one of the rings or something but the real kicker is the engine seems to be completely rebuilt some of the bolts still had assembly lube on them.

Used it to.......go get it's replacement as a Daily Driver!

Now maybe I can get some real work done on it without having to rush to get it re-assembled by Monday morning! :hillbilly:

Daily drive molester van?

My friends have dubbed it the "Abductor Van". You were close! :D

My bad. In my neck of the woods if it has windows it's a kidnapping/abductor van. If it doesn't have windows on the sides rapist/molester van. My apologies:p

Jake,in you neck of the woods...they load the old International with hay, leaving the center hollow, then they jump out and pull you in.Thats where the cowboy boots come off and.........Get r done!

Quite alright!

Probably ought to be careful who I make that joke with anyway......

Anyhoo, nice to take the Pig off of DD/pulling trailer to Trials Event duty ( at a whopping 58mph) and re-assign it back to off-road fun duty! :D

Got to do this and quit frickin around---otherwise changed oil and put in new plugs.

Powerwashed the axles, frame, wheelwells. Especially the rear brakes. Knocked off some more of that S&T sand...painted my Monte Carlo calipers red, couldn't find pink caliper paint. Got a matching yellowtop Optima for the Pig...put the old redtop in the 80.

Played with speedos...

Yesterday, I put my speedo back in and drove around the block. Then took the 80 to visit Cruiserdrew and borrow a handful of tools, like a double-flair maker and some fancy tubingbending pliers. But that was yesterday. Today, I drove my Pig out into the street, turned it around and backed into the driveway. Whew.
Then I put it up on jackstands, pulled off the wheels & brakes. So I've got a boxload of stock drum brake parts, for anybody still running stock drums, fair shape, you haul. Loosened all 6 backing plate bolts each side. Gonna cut the plates off, so I'll leave the bolts on for a while.
Did the Poser caliper mod to fit the hose, gave 'em one last coat of paint. I think I'm finally ready for those rear disc brakes. I'll start the grinder and cut those backing plates off first thing in the morning...

Finished the "custom" swing out teloscoping lantern holder for the rear of the roof rack yesterday. Hard wired the ARB tire compressor with a switch under the hood.
Kept working on the d/s front 1/2 door. Got her hinge point welded up, fitted her, and she's ready for the top cap sheetmetal
