You're telling me! I ended up using a 150 ml syringe I had laying around and filled it up that way. It was still hard as hell.

How many days did that take??

I'm happier pulling the tranny hump and just pouring it in!!

Ya I wish I had thought of that. The tranny hump was off and everything! It didn't take too long...it was way faster than the piece of crap pump I had.

Must have pics...I want to do the same/similar combo.

heres a teaser... rest of the pics in my build thread tomorry:p

piggy details

Been working on the minor items that need to be addressed on my 76 Aussie oinker. Yesterday I removed the hitch from under the rear bumper- it was a perfect fit on the frame rails and well designed. I don't plan to haul anything with the pig, though, so off it came for a cleaner look.

Also got underneath the truck and heavily oiled the spare tire mechanism. Got it freed up and dropped the spare on the floor. It's one heavy SOB- a tube tire on a steel 16" split rim! Replaced it with a 33 x 10.50 spare that just fit up between the spring shackles. Getting the 33" spare out of the cargo area opens the back of the piggy big time.

Meanwhile my orange and white 78 has been relegated to pasture for now. I've been wheeling a 40 this eyar and the ultimate disposition of the old 55 is yet to be determined. Might just resurrect her for the pig run in August. She's still licensed and inspected although I'd need to renew the insurance coverage to drive her legally. Gary S

Replaced a rotten fuel line that started leaking while it was idling this morning.

Doors are primed. I need to wetsand, then rattle can a topcoat. I need to decide which rustoleum blue to use...sail blue or royal blue. Currently working on the roof rails, waiting for paint to dry, then I can weld in the patches.

Started swapping tailgates today...budgeting 2 days though.

Got the McLeod clutch in, its back to a daily driver.

I have to get the sun visors back up, before the wife divorces me

Pulled the motor and trans on the tow rig. The engine lift didn't want to move with a 6BT on it, so I had to employ the pig to help pull the lift back.

So, you had a Pig, towing an engine hoist, with a suspended 6BT swinging from it, and you didn't get a Pic?!?

Shoot, I take pics of mundane things like a tailgate swap.

I know, I take pictures of everything on my Pig!

Right. And it sounds perfect for a "Caption this pic" thread....
(Oh, No, officer...I just carry it as a spare...)

I was kinda scared to touch my phone while I was covered in diesel engine mung.
