Is that rain or snow on your lens?

There was sleet (rain/snow mix) falling in the second picture.

Weird day on Thursday, woke up to snow, started out the run in sun, got some rain/snow/sleet along the trail and then I think I even ran the A/C for a few minutes in the afternoon!

Installed the e brake drum and driveshaft, cleaned the frame behind the fuel/vent/brake lines, drained and refilled the transfercase, the transmission had about two too many pints in it:doh:,pinned the shock mount nuts, re-did the lower radiator hose transition, re routed some heater lines, trimmed the fuse panel w/ neoprene, hooked up the battery and did this....

You did all that work in the ditch?!?! :)

Would have been easier to park on the driveway first!

I just HAD to say that.

Sure feels like I been workin in a ditch. Nice to get out of it for a change!

Thought I could clean and adjust the rear wheel cylinders...

WHat happened to your reverse lights? Are they going where the reflectors were?

got a tach now happy was a easy install now got to work on some engine stuff

8k tach - I am guessing you went with something other than the F/2F...

With after market gauges you pretty much take what you're given. The tach on my FJ55 with the 3B goes to 6000rpm but the 3B redlines at about 4100rpm and I rarely get to 3000rpm. Same goes for the boost gauge, maximum boost 30psi on the gauge, maximum that I run, 10psi.

What is 'red line' on the 2F anyway?

A vortec with a carb on it?

I was wondering the same thing.[/QUOTE]

Just guessin here, but since I am 98% done with a Ford 5.0 HO (speed density FI) swap in a 76 40, that it was just easier (cheaper and an order of magnitude less complicated) to slap the intake and carb on it...add gas...and go today. Spent a few evenings gazing at my old intake and carb off the old 302...but
I perservered and stuck it out to have the injection.

Nuttin really new on my piggies...Pigwald sees some action and the other is just a pig in the blanket until the aformentioned 5.0 swap goes from 98% to 100%...then add in rear aussie and the 8274 up front. I'm thinking the blanket will come off in mid June for some pulled rust pork action.
