Raise the section of floor, this will help with many of your future clearance issues too.
That’s a thought. I was just afraid to bash my header any more to get the steering box clearance. Until I saw this
Seems like no matter how much you bash a header it won’t affect performance.

"1970" rebuilt front axle, bearings, seals, disc brakes and then tossed the steering wheel that was on it from previous owner, Celica steering wheel. Retrofit a 80 series wheel from my kids play house cruiser. had to drill and add pegs to catch the blinkers for shut off. then need to finish removing the paint that they decided to add to the "landcruiser" indent. but feels better having a cruiser wheel and a horn that works

Well not to jinx myself but haven’t had to work on my pig in several weeks and have just been driving it! This morning I drove my ‘69 to church and when I came out I had three new Ford Broncos parked next to me. About 120 of the church youth ages 12-17 sang a touching song about being a disciple of Jesus Christ. A very good morning for both me and the pig!
