Installed roll bar, padding & cover as well as bikini top and custom box to fill in radio opening..fits my cell phone perfectly!

@medtro and @Saddletramp helped me with replacing the alternator. I was having a loud whining noise from the engine bay that I couldn't pin down. Checked the charging and was barely getting 12.5 volts.

There are two different model numbers for alternators in the 2004 model year, pre and post June. Mine was built in March. Part number I had was 27060-50330. No one had that one available on Friday. So we went with the later model, 27060-50360. The only difference is a shield on the back of the older model, which only seems designed to make it a complete pain to wiggle out from underneath the truck. New one went in super easy.

Thanks again to Jackson and Steve for the help.

Let us know if the sound comes back, the other bearings on the tensioner and idler may need to be replaced.

Finally washed all the mud off from the Smiley Rock ROTM. I get the IH8MUD part now.

It took a long time, but I redid the AC system. I cleaned the evaporator and replaced the thermal expansion valve. I thoroughly flushed all the lines and the evaporator. I replaced all o-rings and schrader valves. I installed a new condenser and shorty drier. I installed a new compressor.

I'm seeing >40˚ cooling from ambient sitting in the shade of my driveway. I'm getting mid 50's while driving. :grinpimp:

Sadly, the death wobble while braking (>50 mph) has come back. I though balancing the tires had fixed it this spring. It has sat for 3 months while I did the interior and AC. I'll go back through all the usual suspects again and not drive over 50.

Lubed my shafts, refilled both grease guns and finally mounted my grease gun holder on the wall....so...much...fun. o_O

Toyotas are fine, but we still own a Dodge. At least it creates it's own shade.

Looking good. Your seats really highlight how much lower the driver's seat is. Never driven a RHD version at all much least one from 73-78 era with buckets seats. Imagine pretty tight between the steering wheel and seat.

Hoping new tires will solve the issue with me Sequoia. I get a wobble even without braking. Rotated tires and helped. Think might a tire separating problem. Not a fan of the BFGs that were on it when we bought it. Costco has $70 off a set of four and penny install pre tire for the next week. Going with Michelin LTX. Funny the braking wobble is not constant. Running Michelin on the three other vehicles that I use on the highway. Best riding and longest lasting I've used. We'll if this solves the problem.

Toyota wasn't thinking when they started using fuel injection on the Land Cruiser. FJ60 has a inspection cover for the fuel tank sending unit. But when they moved the fuel to the tank they didn't add a inspection cover for that. Can drive you Cruiser with a broken sending unit but not with a bad fuel pump. Changed it twice. Once before joining Mud and second shortly after. That because of Mud knew a pressure regulator on the engine should be replaced at the same time. Lucky for me both times died at home.

I am 85% certain it is the tires. When I had them balanced in April the tire monkey said there was slight cupping. I can't see it. Tires would be the easiest, but most expensive fix.

I found some gray FJ80 manual seats locally. I've wanted manual seats for years and started looking in earnest 6 months ago. Manual seats from a 93-95 would be ideal, but beyond rare to find and friction expensive to buy and ship. My modification to make this work may not be everyone's cup of tea. I wouldn't mind a reasoned critique.

FJ80 manual seat swap into a FZF80.

Installed dual Odyssey batteries, hooked up the ARB twin compressor and installed a fridge slide. I was busy this weekend.

Changed oil
Lubed driveshafts
Rotated tires
Replaced headlight bulbs
Buffed out headlight lenses - I still need new ones because the deer I hit cracked the passenger lense, and the driver's already had a crack

Finalized needed repair from my last travel, prepared and checked everything for my upcoming travel this week.

Loaded a new off-line street navigation app to my iPad. With all the highway/road choices Gaia offers I dont like any. The addition will allow me to run a split screen with roads on one side and topo on the other while tracking on both. And some of you thought my ability to stay in my lane was bad before.

Which app are you swapping to?

Not swapping adding to. Gaia is excellent providing Topo maps, Aerial maps, tracking, waypoints, and much more just not the highways and town information I want and how it is displayed. 'You Need A Map' app does it for my for in the way it presents highways, roads, and towns.

How does it run split screen?
