Some more progress today:

Got busy on replacing all HVAC hoses, removing rear heater and installing new water pump, fan clutch, thermo housing and thermostat.

Radiator is going to rad shop for testing and hot tanking.

After this work is done I'll bleed the system, warm her up and do a valve adjust.

Also have a bunch of new fuel lines and clamps that are available in the US market which is nice.

And the fan has a cool little feature that does indicate date of build (estimated):

85= 1985

Circular "month calendar" shows that the fan was made by Aisin in 9/1985 which corresponds nicely with my 10/1985 build date.

And finally-- big here -- chopped that damn bumper off!!! Man that was a task with a sawzall... Went through 3 blades to cut both c-channels off...

Now the arduous task of carefully grinding the rest off without damaging the real frame rails so I can mount my ARB... That's gonna be an all day affair I fear...

Whatever clown did this I curse them for the remainder of time!!

And the NSK bearing number for your PS IDLER/adjuster pulley. This will be useful down the line for replacement since the bearing is not available separately from the pulley from Toyota and the pulley is discontinued. Applicable for 3B and 13B-T engines with PS:

Beno leaves everyone else in the dust!
I installed my newly ceramic coated turbo heat shield, new 80-series brake MC and power booster.
New Hella headlights too.

I assume you used the 1991-1992 MC for trucks with disc brake fronts and drum rears?

Did you have to modify your tubes at all?

Beno
4 inch angle grinder with metal cut off discs first and then a 4 inch grinding stone to clean the welds back. Easy mate just take your time cutting and checking as you go.

Yes, that's the MC I used. I swapped/spliced the fluid level sensor's electrical connector.
I had to bend new brake lines, just the first two right off the MC.
Original heat shield not usable so I made one out of aluminum sheet.
I intend to make a nicer one later on.
I used this bender from Harbor Freight. Probably the worst made tool I own but I got the hang of it and made some tight bends.

Can you verify that part number? My aging eyes make it hard to read. Is it 63010U2? Did he box carry the same part number?

Any idea if this will work on the other two idlers on a 13BT with A/C?

I cannot verify the other idlers since my simple 3B only has an idler for the PS belt. Someone with a 13B-T apart will have to verify since toyota gives no information on the bearings in the EPC.

The number looks correct Sam.

Yeah, I know... I have everything to doing it just dreading it due to me usually screwing up stuff like this!

;)

Mate the guy who welded the channel on the chassis stuffed it up your just fixing it end off story. Anyway nothing a weld wont fix if you do cut a little deep but trust me its easy just take your time and cut closer to the channel then the chassis. :)

Thanks Onur. Only reason I asked is that I cannot find that number on NSK's website
