I think it looks great.

Brake pads and rotated tires. $13 at autozone for new pads with lifetime warranty. I told them I had a 1982 fj60 since they got confused with 70 series. Alberto and Wayne were a huge help when I got frantic trying to source pads.

Fwiw, AutoZone pads are semi-metallic and pretty damn hard. They get their lifetime warranty at the expense of your rotors.

AISIN (OE manufacture) sells a clean compound pad for the 40/60/70, fwiw:

Front Brake Pads 9/1975-1/1990 - $37.50/set
One set per axle. High Quality Japanese - AISIN
(Fits 9/1975-1/1990 40/55/60/70 Series)
Part# BR04465

(from a guy who spent a few younger years selling parts at AutoZone :D)

I don't know about Kurt's time with da Zone, but when I was slinging parts there working my way through college, 3/4 of my coworkers would not have been able to tell the difference between a Jeep CJ and a much more manly 70 series ... Much less have a clue as to the composition of OEM pad on a 60

Nowadays, my experience with them is if it is in the computer, it is the gospel. And we all know that everything that is on the Internet (and MUD) is 110% factually correct gospel. ;)

Woody's gonna send me to hell for even suggesting that there are incorrect facts here on MUD ... :meh:

That's why you always go to the "old fart" in the parts store. The knowledge is usually in his head more so than a computer screen.

Plus the guys in my local NAPA not only work with me and my unusual parts requirements, but they actually claim that I make their day with the out-of-the-ordinary parts purchases. It appears that Cruisers bring joy far and wide.

Getting ready to replace the rear bearings & oil seals on my bj75 rear axles. Dropped the oil before my 2 week Nfld trip and I'm back and schedule is piling up with running around my siblings, hopefully next week I will tackle it. Pics to come....
