Sending PM re: hood insulator thing

@beno , can I take it that the silver side goes towards the hood and the black side (with a small area of heat shielding) faces the engine?

I did not realize that they had reflective material on one side ....

New front brake pads, new rotors, new brake hardware, new soft lines, new tubes, new wheel studs, new reman calipers, full front axle rebuild and a new slave cylinder:

I'll also be doing some PM work:

New Aisin fan clutch, water pump, vacuum pump lines, valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket. All OEM.

Just in time it seems for both Logan's Run in NC and the 70 series gathering in AL.

jeez man I'm getting dizzy at your pace…..Just rying to follow and I need some extra O2! Having said that…. KEEP it up!!!

Hmmmmm .... I'll have to look at mine. If it doesn't have the silver, I may have to make another purchase from you. I think with the dark blue metallic paint that I have, it would not hurt to have good hood insulation.

You are not helping my wallet, sir! ;)

Just out of interest I see you've got all new TRE's and clamps there, I don't know how Toyota work out their pricing but over here in NZ I can buy a complete 70 series tierod with TREs in both ends, clamps and all the nuts, bolts, splits pins etc for $29 USD ($45 NZD) plus 15% GST (sales tax) which I can claim back anyway, the draglink/relay rod is the same price with all the TREs etc included as well. They have stock in NZ at the moment but usually they are ordered ex Japan and I've never been charged freight to get them here. My truck is RHD so they will be RHD part numbers

Those are almost 4-5 times the price here in the States.
