A huge shout out to @joekatana .
I have been staring at a cigarette burn in the driver's seat bottom in my BJ74 for over 11 years. The interior in this thing is in very good condition and the only blemish has been that burn. Joe had an almost perfect seat, with the correct upholstery, in his seat pile.
His came out of a European BJ71 so it was not exact but close enough. Being a left-hand drive, this is a passenger's seat so it had way less wear.
My original seat also had a damaged seat back adjuster. I took Joe's bottom assembly and seat back adjuster and married it to my rails and perfect seatback.

Thank you Joe!

The stopgap adjuster I had only reclined to this position. That one came out of a German 75 Series pickup.

Worked on front and back. Tire carrier on the swing arm and try to fit the winch. The winch relay box designed to sit right in the middle. I really don't like blocking the air flow so I'll build a bracket to sit over the motor (passenger side).

Also I'm searching for a rim for my spare to match the other 4 rims mounted on the rig. If anyone has a clue where I can get one. Cheers!!!

The rim issue is easy.

I’ll drop a line tomorrow Ofer.

Beautiful Hutchinson wheels. Care sharing the model/specs that fit our 70 series?

Those wheels are yummy... until you need to have tires mounted on them AND you want to put them on a 7x. The backspace is too deep (spacers are needed) and mounting tires is a HUGE pain in the ass. Be sure to have multiple extra O-rings on hand before you start. Been there, done that. Never again.

HARD PASS for me.

My wife is on a girls vacation so....party time for me!! Tunes and Cruiser projects!
More cut and buff time on the 73.

I realize this isn’t a U.S. thing or a U.S. vehicle for that matter, but what’s up with this light. Is it market specific? Does it illuminate with the headlights?

Rear fog light, much brighter than normal tail lights for low light condition, required in the UK and EU. Only turns on via a separate switch with sidelights and higher.

Most manufacturers only put one on, fitted to the drivers side. Some cheap manufacturers also only put on one, but this time in the centre to avoid the need for retooling.

can you detail a bit on how you replace the mirror?

I am also planning to do it on my lj73
The outside door mirror, correct? Very simple on mine as they are not powered mirrors. Just the two JIS screws per side

Ignore the above answer, sorry. You meant the inside mirror.

It has a cover that pops off with a flat blade tool and JIS screws underneath to hold it on.
