Airbox is still in it and the snorkel is here and will go with the cruiser when it gets a new owner eventually

No snorkel ever with an FST. Windshield has to come down for proper usage…

An early Christmas present 🎁 arrived today..
All the Seals for the doors /w detachable tops and the hardtop and hoop.
Except for the lower seal of the left backdoor, (6788460020), which is NLA . If anybody has a lead on this to Europe, please let me know)
Also the seal between hoop and body, right side (6655990K01) is NLA, but I have a used spare of that.
20231208_130147.jpg

Parts for the handbrake. Needs urgent attention.
20231208_130212.jpg

Parts for replacing the oil hoses on the vacuum pump. Better I do those before they blow. Plus a diaphragm for the IP as a spare on the shelf.
20231208_130218.jpg

Bulbs for the dash. Something is wrong here, thoug: Either the dash doesn't have T10 bulbs, or the green caps are too small. Dang it. Anybody an idea?
20231208_130224.jpg

Plus some cone washers, calliper brake pipes to go on the shelf.
Plus new caps for the glow plug contacts. (You know, it's those small things that always catch your eye whenever you open the hood.)
So. Work is coming up..
Cheers Ralf

Yummm. Good haul. Love laying out all those little baggies and boxes when they arrive. I need a dime bag of those vac pump copper washers right now actually.

I started to take apart the steering linkage to replace the relay rod and tie rod ends and the steering damper. I got all of the castellated nuts off after having to deal with super rusted up cotter pins. I tried to use a pickle fork on the relay rod/pitman arm ball joint … no dice. Picked up a screw lever type at Princess Auto. Will try it, hopefully tomorrow.

In the process I discovered I have 4x4 Engineering leaf springs. The label was buried under a good coating of dirt.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

I see toyota followed your lead on putting a 2.8 in a 70 series. Hats off to the innovative, influencer troopy driver that you are! You got em beat though- yours is a manual!

Yeah! Super cool. That engine has been in the Hilux for a while so everyone thought the 2.8 wouldn't be enough but reports are showing people dig it. I don't tow so I don't need a V8
