What would be great is if PS started throwing in "Jeeps are S***" stickers, but I have a feeling they are too polite!

i think the stickers are a new thing,,, i got one in my last order but never got one in any of the previous orders.
Oh man... who knows whenever I will get one now. I mean, I drive a Toyota Land Cruiser, so I never have to fix it. Right? RIGHT??
Naw, I lack the talent to do that.
Help. I’m trying to replace the small inline fuel vapor check valve which is between the fuel tank and the charcoal canister. Where is it physically on the vehicle. I have found the check valve in the filler “neck” area. Is there another one? I’m new so this my be an entry level question. Any help is greatly appreciated

Your picture is straight looking at it. It looks like an inline petrol fuel filter from a lawn mower. Hold in place with a bracket.
Well, at least that's the check valve on the filler neck. I have a 1985 diesel, so I don't know anything about the charcoal canister. My vehicle hasn't it. But it has that check valve... ... for whatever purpose, though.

All the drawings for the fj75 3F show an additional check valve between the tank and the canister. I can’t find it.
A disappointing day today... though more from my son's point of view than mine, however, I am probably feeling almost as bad for my son as he is for himself.
We were headed out to a pool hall for the kids to play some billiards that they wanted to try. My oldest wanted to take his car because he was thinking he might head out with some friends possibly before we were done. I remember being his age and having that freedom and independence is great, so I said sure if that was what he wanted to do.
He was following me and as I came to a stop waiting to turn left into the parking lot, he said he was checking the time on the clock.... sigh...
Poor kid. He wants to fix it, so we will probably be making several trips to the wreckers. I need to order a sticker from parts-souq so I can get a free bumper reflector...
There are some scuffs on the plastic as well... not sure if I will replace these or not
At least everyone was fine, so this is a relatively inexpensive life lesson that could have so easily been much, much worse.

Got my rear axles stripped down. Untouched since 1988 probably.
Best tools for cone washer removal. Used brass hammer as a drift with a handle to protect studs from big hammer.
Welded dent pulling studs onto the oil seals then used slide hammer to get them out.
Welded nuts onto studs then wrenched them out. I bought new ones.
Sacrificed a domed lug nut to bash out lug studs..

Bloody well took long enough! Got my floorpans painted where I'd done the rust repairs months ago. Ground the welds back fractionally, covered with a product called Brunox. Rust converter and epoxy primer all in one. Mildly skeptical of 1 pot wonder products, but it came well reviewed. Then threw some underbody coating on, just with a brush for tidiness. The finish from the Septone Brushcoat matched the rest of the floor remarkably well!

Temps are dropping intp the 20's at night and we've been getting winter diesel for just over a month.

Is there a freeze plug block heater for the 1HZ? If I didn't live in the bright sunny south I'd be plugging' my little girl in.
My truck, which spent time in upper Michigan, had both a block heater and battery heaters, all of which were removed.
Glad to finally fix the shoddy a-pillar (and runner) bodywork on the HJ75. Kelly and Spenser did an exceptional job fixing horrible bodywork the right way: with OEM Toyota Japanese steel, not layers upon layers of bondo (talk about unsafe). The good ol' Troopy is going to be done and ready for two months of road trippin' this week.

What shop is this so I can give them my business in the future! What did this winshield rust repair run you?
It's @kelly saad 's shop. He posts when he's taking new clients. It's not just a windshield repair... they replaced both A-Pillars, rebuilt the cowl, rebuilt the windshield frame, replaced the runners (inner and outer) plus all the filler panels were cut by hand. I'm not sure what it will be tallied up for. They bill weekly (usually) and are super professional. As such, the price is a conversation between the potential/future client and shop. Body shop hourly rate runs the gamut but finding a shop that knows Land Cruisers is harder and harder these days.
