Limited Cruiser time over the weekend but managed to get the block prepped then painted. The brains behind the rebuild, Chris, got the new head on then I started bolting easy sh*t back on. One piece at a time.

Yes slide in the window rubber tracks, AND do not effect window glass going up/down.Are those the ones that slide into the window track (and use magnets) or rely on double sided tape?
That salt spray is bad on Oki. It's worse than living at the beach in the US. Big waves pounding on coral reefs with the wind blowing the spray ashore where there is no stretch of marsh grass or woodlands to catch/filter it out of the air.Nothing super exciting but I did get my door drain holes unplugged so my doors can stop filling up with water when it rains or I wash my KZJ 78. Which is good because I'm in Okinawa and it rains a fair amount with plenty of typhoon season left. I also picked up my Dobinsons suspension from the post office. Hopefully I can get it put on soon.
Small upgrade , but very useful and confortable

Got the appointment scheduled with a shop that specializes, more or less, in Land Cruisers. 26 Sept is the big day. They'll be doing the suspension and steering damper install, new brake rotors and pads, front end rebuild, 10 blade fan upgrade, 76 degree thermostat, and viscous fluid change. The shop owner is an American expat and has offered to let me watch and learn while they work. I will be definitely be taking them up on the offer.Nothing super exciting but I did get my door drain holes unplugged so my doors can stop filling up with water when it rains or I wash my KZJ 78. In over 10 years of traveling to Germany (mostly in the Frankfurt area) I only saw one 70 Series and it seemed to have a permanent spot at a small used car lot.Convoy home.
Some pics are courtesy of members of the Landcruiser Group Rhine Area. Thank you guys, it was amazing.
Cheers Ralf
