Limited Cruiser time over the weekend but managed to get the block prepped then painted. The brains behind the rebuild, Chris, got the new head on then I started bolting easy sh*t back on. One piece at a time.

Are those the ones that slide into the window track (and use magnets) or rely on double sided tape?
Yes slide in the window rubber tracks, AND do not effect window glass going up/down.
plus magnets on the side matching the door frame .
when driving even off road THE y are very firm ,no rattels.
I was In Africa ,Namibia ,found them in a local dealer

Nothing super exciting but I did get my door drain holes unplugged so my doors can stop filling up with water when it rains or I wash my KZJ 78. Which is good because I'm in Okinawa and it rains a fair amount with plenty of typhoon season left. I also picked up my Dobinsons suspension from the post office. Hopefully I can get it put on soon.
That salt spray is bad on Oki. It's worse than living at the beach in the US. Big waves pounding on coral reefs with the wind blowing the spray ashore where there is no stretch of marsh grass or woodlands to catch/filter it out of the air.
What are KZJ 78's going for on the lots in Oki now? I've noticed the LC prices on Japanese car exporter sites the past few years are going up the past few years like the prices in the US. Wondering if the prices on the ground in country are doing the same thing.

Treated it to a coat of Woolwax in preparation for winter.

Took it on it’s first drive since I bought it, thought it is appropriate that it should be in good Land Cruiser scenery!!!

Damn. That truck is making the rounds….
I will try and keep it for a while, first 70 and Toyota Diesel!

It is a great rig, glad she has been in proper hands since it’s arrival in the US!

Got the appointment scheduled with a shop that specializes, more or less, in Land Cruisers. 26 Sept is the big day. They'll be doing the suspension and steering damper install, new brake rotors and pads, front end rebuild, 10 blade fan upgrade, 76 degree thermostat, and viscous fluid change. The shop owner is an American expat and has offered to let me watch and learn while they work. I will be definitely be taking them up on the offer.
