It's been a dream! I need to get that thread together still, I just work 55+ hours weekly so I don't have a lot of truck time. I had doubts about the small GT20 compressor, but it has been wonderful.Nice!, looks like fun and a little freaky.
How is that new turbo working out?
I drive 200+ miles weekly with a ~3000' elevation change (Flagstaff to Sedona via hwy 89). With the exception of one huge hill, I can keep up with and even pass traffic. Mileage has hovered right around 21 MPG (on 33's), tuned EGTS for 1200F- max fuel screw almost all the way in. Boosts up to 14 psi very quickly without a boost adjuster on it. I like having no lag compared to the only other turbo I know on that engine, the CT26. I think it loses a bit of top end power but for a lower boost setup it's super reliable and fun.
Switched the oil lines over to A/N, lost the water cooling fittings which does open up the possibility of a air/water intercooler. New silicon hoses and t-clamps from Pegasus. Found a universal fit heat blanket that works. This setup seems to do very nicely. I want to do a teardown of the engine/body/interior/driveline but need this to not be my primary vehicle first. I'm confident that I'm in good hands until then.
(Forgive the worm-drive clamp on the turbo, this has been rectified since I took this photo)
