It certainly does, but I can’t imagine it would be more restrictive than a factory snorkel. But that lid may be a good compensation for said snorkel.

I wonder how different the factory vs safari snorkel is. I have the safari; safari + 1fz lid = upgrade lol... maybe I’ll see if I can find one in the coming weeks and see if there’s any improvements. If not then oh well, the 1fz lid looks nicer

I’d imagine it’s just the top hat which effects flow.

Noticed how different the air box lids are with the diesels and the 1fz engine. Do you think it would make a difference to swap lids in hope of more airflow?

I did it on my 2H. Of course the power output of said motor is so little that it probably isn't noticeable

Maybe it’ll be a placebo effect where I feel like I’ve made some gains and feel faster haha

Was about to hit the Kalahari desert for a week or two and I knew that my new fridge freezer would suck my aux battery down on anything longer than a quick one night stop over so I took the solar plunge. The switch board will be covered and trips for the panel and battery added as well as multi fuses for the " Loads", also removable and can be used in camp if necessary.

I'll have to make proper holders for the pannels , but , it worked as is. In the eventual setup, i will still keep the panels in the roof top for the long fast tar road part of the trip, and zap them on to the roof when I get " There". The system worked so well, that my intellegent battery relay always saw the AUX battery as having a higher voltage, so it never switched on while the panels were up.

Yes, for the front and the rear.

Bilsteins are my third set on this truck. It’s a lot of trial and error with these based on different compressed and extended lengths as well as hydraulic rates.

I have a lifted truck — about 3”. I’m running 285/75/16’s on 80 series steel rims.
