Picked this up today, $40 for the pair. Got to get them cleaned and then it should be a straight forward fit.

Not exactly what I did to my 70 Series today: My wife and I drove it across two continents and shipped it across two oceans without a scratch. Yesterday the transport driver we hired to truck it to Tucson backed it into a garbage dumpster in the port in Houston.

That's a 25 hundred dollar dent.

Hey Amando! Long time no talk man!

I have a lifted truck — about 3”. I’m running 285/75/16’s on 80 series steel rims.

^^^^ Nice little improvement over the older version.

I attempted to get me some of those but he was no longer making them by the time I asked. :( He said he even sold the jigs that he used to make them. (I wish I knew who got them).
Oh, that's too bad. I'm very happy with mine. As per my request, Jason even added bungs and drilled holes internally so my entire slider could be used as air tanks. I checked his website and he still offers 80/100 sliders. I wonder why no 70 sliders. No demand?

I’d assume demand. I think I messaged him about skid plates; if I recall he said that if we get 10 or more interests he would consider making a batch.

If I have anything to say about it it will be!

Go to a quality major metro body shop and all you have to say is "I need a quote." You'll get the number. The entire side of the truck will need to be painted to blend it properly. Be sure they include pulling all the glass.

Maybe my statement is incorrect besides the fact he did say he doesn’t have the 70 series jigs. I went back to read the email again and he said he was only making them at his shop now when I asked.

Did some more work on the turbo intercooler install today. Turns out that the ac line is preventing me to use the oem airbox but the K&N filter is temporary until temps drop here a bit and I can deal with the ac having worked on 😉

Made a 2.5 freeflow exhaust for it also , next week I should have my new ARB bumper for this troopy and the new hood with the scoop for the IC also.

Need to hook up the egt, boost and aftermarket temp gauge and next week I will be hauling a trailer back and forth to Houston so that will be a nice 600 mile round trip to play with some fuel settings to see what will work best.

Onur!

Thanks man! Yes too long.

Can you please let me know what springs you have?

That is too bad about that those u-bolt flip kit - those look really nice!

I wanted to replace the shocks on my 1987 74 with stock springs but I can't find shocks for it - so I might have to lift it.

Thank you.

Amando

So when you moved up size in exhaust, is the elbow out of the turbo still the same? Or did you upgrade the size coming off of the turbo as well?

The u-bolt flip kits are readily available.

Contact Dave Gore: @lcwizard on MUD. Be specific about the orientation of your shocks when ordering these.

Springs are Terrain Tamer from Georg at Valley Hybrids. @orangefj45

 buddy.
