Been having problems with the fuel gauge since I purchased the PZJ75.
Added diesel klean to the tank for cleaning the injectors, the injector pump and hopefully the level sensor.
The gauge would move slightly, but never drop below 1/2 or raise above 3/4.
Decided it was time to further trouble shoot the problem.
Located the wiring harness and the connector for the tank level sensor; when the connector is separated the gauge needle will drop to E.
Cleaned the harness connector contacts and reconnected; now the gauge needle will stroke slowly from E to the white line of F which is about right since its been several days since I added fuel.
Indications are that the gauge is now working properly; although I will know more after a few days of driving.

1st oil change done, oil looked good nothing amiss in there.

Tightened steering box up a little, way too much slop. It's better now and still has free play.

Next up, fix the ARB airline on the front locker I broke. Just need to order the 5mm compression nut/ferrule and get some spares.

Trying to figure out which gauges to get. Not sold on Auber just yet.

Yokohamas just came in. Excited to see how they perform! :bounce:

Nice looking tires; I would be interested to hear how they perform.
The 1993 PZJ75 that I drive in the PI has 285/75 R16 BFG KM2s.
How much did you pay for those per tire ?
My tires of choice in the US for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee were GY Wrangler MTR's.
The GY MTRs are quite expensive now a days....

Hell yeah @saltycoconuts

@CharlesHS I’ve had these for over a week now on highway, dirt, beach sand and mud 255/85r16

So far excellent. Killed in the sand when others spun out. Quiet for a mud tire on highway, smooth and dug in quite well on the mud and soft ditch where previous ATs sucked.

I will see how they go, but so far I really like them much more than the BFGs I’ve had in the past. I drive about 4 miles of dirt road a day plus 15-20 pavement. The dirt road can be really muddy and slick. I’m glad I chose these over the Cooper ST Maxx

Hey Charles!

They’re 295/70/17 when I measured them they’re a little bigger than 33.5 and should settle at 33 which is what I was aiming for. To my surprise they weren’t as expensive as competing brands. Cost would be $300 a tire with the certifications at discount tire. I ordered a set of 4 and have the 5 on the way.

Yokohama has a 20% rebate if you use a commercial account as well.

Congratulations on the purchase.
Sounds like great performance and a good price.
The last set of GY MTRs that I purchased were a once in a lifetime deal.
A friend that was the manager at an Express Tire knew I was looking for 33x12.50s and contacted me.
Someone had returned a set after using them for a week so I received an outstanding deal; slightly used at $140 per tire plus mounting and balancing.
Ran those tires for over 7 years and sold the Jeep with those tires before moving to the PI.

New bits ready to go.

Unfortunately the issue with this piece of sh1t is that the cross member incorporates the front two body mounts and both front spring hangers. They are all welded together.

FML. FML.

So all of those have to be cut off, frame cleaned up, new pieces mocked up and tack welded, them final weld and then paint.

Ugh.

Moral of the story: I ****ing hate rust.
