High-ish... with a big beam in the middle the that completely negates the height in terms of putting a lift in or hanging up my hard top.

Woh woh woh I see the confusion. The table/cart is 32” by 32”. INCHES. I’m trying to squeeze as much into the CART as I can. The garage is 21x21’ and the ceilings are about 11’ high - with a beam that hangs down about a foot plus in the center.

We've been working on this for the past week to get it ready for a customer.
The shop built this 356 Porsche speedster kit as a demo car years ago and recently sold the car. The new owner wanted some changes, so we repainted the whole car as well as painted the gumballs with the 23 (the same number that James Dean had on his speedster), the pegasus on the fenders, and the stripes on the fenders to his requests. It's all paint - not vinyl - and buried in clear. He also bought all of the badging - some of it gold plated - to make it really pop. It's got a 2276cc VW engine in it that is a monster for such a light car.

Knocked out what I am hoping are the last few "must do" items on the white cruiser before hunting season takes my focus.
Dropped the 23yr old spare tire out from under the truck and removed the carrier. I don't think my son would ever be able to get the spare down if needed in poor weather, plus it's the wrong size tire now anyway.

Truck has been squealing from the rear at low speeds and was getting negative attention. Found the issue ... not sure when these were replaced last, but it seems forever is a solid guess. Possible leaky caliper on the drivers side rear so I will keep an eye out for that and watch the fluid level.
Once the squeal was gone you could really hear the PS pump groaning like me getting off the couch after a day of splitting firewood. I did the pump before in the cammo truck when the head gasket was being done and it was super easy ... it is not like that at all when everything is together. Several beers and swear words later and it was swapped in and the steering is so light with the 33s on it's kinda creepy. New pump, low pressure lines, gasket, crush washer and clamps ... all OEM. I re-used the high pressure line because it was $250 for a new one. Cleaned it up as best I could and no leaks so far that I can see.

I have no idea an neither does he. He owned a total of 11 Speedsters. Bought 'em, raced 'em, sold 'em. Had a '66 911, and a 912.
Since this is the Keystone forum, here is a Pennsylvania picture. When my parents were dating, they went looking for antiques in, I believe, Lancaster County. You can hardly see her, but Mom is sitting in the car.
We do have an original awaiting restoration.
Very nice! C? SC? They are such sweet little cars. So much fun to drive, so well made, so easy to work on. Nice shop.

The owner's intent is for a "derelict" restoration - basically to have it look like that but have all the mechanicals immaculate. Like ICON is doing (LINK).
Personally, we think the guy is insane. We've tried to explain how much is going to have to be done to keep it from falling apart just getting in it and slamming the door closed, much less driving it down the road. Just trailering it to the shop, he lost the windshield. He pulled up and we went out to look at it. We're all talking for awhile and all of a sudden he stops and just stares at the car. We ask what's up and he says "it had a windshield when I left my place..."

If I wasn't 12 years into being an ER nurse, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
Washed the White Cruiser for the first time since owning it. Cleaned all the windows too ... then it rained ... seems about right. The drivers side rear door seems more yellow than the rest of the truck. Not sure why. My son may take this to homecoming tonight.
Got the Roo back from the shop with the beefy axle swap completed and the electric brakes all hooked up proper. Next up was making sure it was water tight, so off with the old worn gasket material and on with new rubber.
Hoping this seals things up nicely and I can move on to figuring out how (and where) to wire in the 7-pin plug on the cammo truck. I also went back to the place that wrapped my truck to see about getting the trailer done to match and my guy doesn't work there anymore and they want $1050 to wrap this tiny area. I would really like it to match, but that is a hard price to handle. I think I will shop around a bit first.
Almost forgot ... spent a morning freeing the rusty leveling legs, cleaning them up a bit and lubing everything up so they slide down now and can be set to level the camper when it's open. Needed a wood block, dead-blow hammer and 2 morning beers to get these loose and then file and wire brush the rust off.
Hoping this seals things up nicely and I can move on to figuring out how (and where) to wire in the 7-pin plug on the cammo truck.
