Garage progress looks great!!! Super jealous.
Bumped into my neighbor yesterday that works with Ben and had him do a quick look-see what will be needed to have my center bay garage door raised by another panel so I will still be able to fit the truck in after the lift. Fingers crossed on that. Still haven't told the wife though. There are 6 boxes stacked in the garage full of suspension parts and she hasn't said a word yet. We have a wonderful process of don't ask - don't tell.

Can anyone confirm that these are the proper 17" wheels for fitment on an 80 series? The wheels I really want are super expensive and/or out of stock for a good bit, so figured I would grab these as a stop-gap to get rolling.

Removed headliner and sunroof earlier this summer due to mouse nest, really disgusting. Found 2 adult and 4 baby mouse carcasses mixed in.
That's nasty work. What gave you notice they were there? Could you hear them scurrying around earlier, or did you smell them after the mass die off?
We have mice/vehicle problems at my house as well. They got into my Tundra, the Sienna, and the Honda Element, as well as nests under the hood of one of my 80's. Apparently, peppermint oil is a good way to keep them out...
Peppermint tea bags, sold near the insecticides at your local box hardware store.
Also Bounce dryer sheets seem to be effective at keeping rodents out of vehicles. I tossed about 20 sheets into our Mustang last fall, along with some peperment bags and no mice this year.

This. And one that's "local" to RC is A to Z Fabrication in Schuylkill Haven. I got a set (among other builder parts) from them when I was building my 40.

The smell was atrocious.. also the sunroof cover wouldn't slide back into it's trough under the headliner because of the nest materials packed in there. Thanks for the tips on repelants!
I use moth balls from CVS ... my shed smells like Grandma's closet, but no mice in the past 2 years now since. That and pest control like a mofo every month.
Finally got around to rebuilding my do-everything table in the garage. A nice Saturday afternoon project.
How thick is that table top?

Need assistance on 2 things I am working on the 40th FJ80.
- P0402 Code (some of the things done, cleaned throttle body, cleaned and checked TPS, checked vacuum lines, cleaned VSV on intake).
- Sqealing during accelerations (checked vacuum lines)

Check your belts. If they were just replaced tighten the tensioner. If they look worn out replace them.
I installed all new OEM belts when I replaced the oil pump gasket. I can try to tighten them a little bit more and I will let you know.
