anyone know how to replace the rear turn signal bulbs, having a hell of a time trying to get to them back there, searched the forum and didnt come up with anything, youtube doesn't seem to have any videos for those particular bulbs either. picked up some lasfit rears and want to replace them. thanks in advance?
I found a random related thread using google. I'm sure there is better info here in tech somewhere.

In any case, check the owner's manual for the appropriate year 200:

Hello, new to this forum and new owner of a LX570. Used to own a GX470 for about 10 years and slowly built a family Overlanding type rig. Probably do similar to this one but family is larger now so needed extra space.

Greetings. Long time member. I have owned a couple of 80 Series over the years, a ‘07 FJ Cruiser, ‘14 Tundra, ‘11 GX 460 and am now the owner of a new to me ’11 LX 570. I have been off the forums for a while driving my Tundra since I bought it new in October of 2013. Zero issues with that truck the entire time I have owned it. ZERO. I recently was in the market for a 100, 200 or GX and ended up with a GX first, and then the LX purchase came to be only because of an issue during the purchase of the GX.

I bought the and loved the GX from a Dealer, did my homework, but ended up with a vehicle that has had some minor but expensive body only damage to the front bumper and driver’s side headlight assembly, discovered at night while driving after purchase. It is all still under further investigation, but, being a dealer, and not a wholesale dealer, I assure you, they are shady, and told me they change Carfax info. on the reg. So, dealers will be dealers, as usual I suspect now and forever unfortunately. While that is getting resolved, I came across and could not pass up a deal on a LX 570.

I had given up on the chance of a 200 series, as much as I love the 5.7 just because of the crazy market and how expensive they are. But for less than 20K, It’s well loved with 238,000 miles, and has been in north Texas and Oklahoma it’s whole life. It drives better than my Tundra by a long shot. I have a few things I want to get started on immediately such as front seats, a screen replacement, overall cleaning or carpet change, wheels and tires, led lighting, etc. Sooooo. The journey begins.

I have some research to start absorbing, but hope to be active and helpful as I have already experienced a few things that might be helpful to all regarding towing, headlights, amp under the seat, and so forth.

Thanks for this forum and everyone involved. I look forward to a positive contribution!

Noobie here - Hi everyone.

I've come from the dark side but finally got here.
Had many 4WDs but always wanted a Cruiser.
My previous 4WDs were;
  • a highly modified Suzuki Sierra (Toyota twin cam 1600 & big Yokahama Super Diggers) which went everywhere in the Victorian high country.
  • GQ Nissan Patrol
  • Subaru Forrester (manual with low range & could go most places that ground clearance would let me)
  • NT Pajero (which is a very underrated 4WD)
Now I've got a 2019 VX Cruiser & have been setting it up for the big lap towing my 2500kg caravan.
I'm looking forward to getting lots of useful info from this forum.

LC200.jpg

Wanted to introduce myself. Michael here, pleasure to be a part of the forum. My LC200, ARB bumper, rack, lights and awning. You may say I like ARB! Hope I can learn a lot and share a lot with other members.

Hello I am new to this Forum
Have about 10 year experience with modifications of 200's to heavy load capacities up to 4900 kg and Hilux up to 4500 kg
Not sure who will benefit from this but can help if anyone needs info.
I have encountered a problem which I wold like help with.
I have broken the locking lever hinge in both of the main ECU connectors on a 5.7 Gasoline 200.
While checking for spare parts in Toyota website and also in PartSouq, could find many types of replacement connector bodies but not the specific ECU ones.
Was wandering if anyone here knows of a way to obtain these connector bodies as replacement parts so I do not have to obtain complete electrical harness.
Ignoring, for a moment, the price for such a harness, the work involved would be very pricy considerring the vehicle is already finished and ready for use....
Thank you all for sharing important information here, and please let me know if I need to divert this question to any other section/forum/thread.

Hello and many thanks to the MUD community. Last weekend I traded in my 15 4runner LE 82K for my 2008 LX 570 117K Black with Parchement. Searched for a couple months looking for something nearby Philly burbs) that was not rusted or over 125K miles. Found the LX out side of DC. Was originally thinking I would find something from 2011+ but not to be. LX is in good shape and I love the ride. My 4Runner was nice and fun but lacked power and space when loaded up for ski trips and camping. LX seems like it will be the perfect ride once I get a few issues cleaned up:

Known Issues:
Frame and under carriage need rust addressed- not a big deal, did the same to my 4Runner - sand, brush, POR, RP-342

AHC-front shock leaking? Fluid low, goes up but does not seem to want to go down, And passenger rear accumulator (I think, maybe actuator) has corroded and the housing is split but not leaking. No fluids are reaching the ground but the res is just below the “low” line. Have new globes coming this weekend and 2 cans of fluid ready to flush, hoping to find accumulator and get that replaced before it becomes and issue. HUGE thanks to all who have posted about the AHC system, I would not have purchased an LX w/o the knowledge shared here.

CDL flashing- Have put about 500 miles on since purchase without any dash lights. Last night went to run errand and CDL immmediately came on and stayed on for the 10 mile round trip. Got home turned off truck, read manual, restart after couple minutes and no flashing CDL. Have to look deeper into this one.

Best parts:
This truck is super clean. 1 owner, no accidents, regular scheduled maintenance at 1 dealer, little if any off road and the interior is immaculate. Love the V8 power, gas mpg has been better than my 4Runner. And it rides better than the 4runner even with my AHC issues.

Thanks again the MUD community!

My first real post! Picture is my stock 2015 LC200 towing a 6-7,000 lb boat. One of the many reasons I love this car. Conquers sand dunes like a champ, even without locking the diff. Actually there are many advantages to owning this vehicle! Brian L (I hope my post is in keeping with forum standards!)

Gyday, newbie here.
Given the price of diesel atm you would think... but even the wife rolled her eyes... my new moniker.

Proud owner of 2011 GLX and loving it. What a beast of a vehicle all!
Thanks to this forum and found Techstream and successfully turned off the silly bells for belts, doors and checked injector values all good. Thanks for the info all!

PS Won't try and compete with the benefits of last post OBXDreamer

Present projects add towing mirrors and find where to wire indicators from within looms, the later models have it already, pinouts in the schematics soon.

Happy motoring!

I bought my 200 series brand new back in 2011. Fortunately it had just been loaded on the boat in Japan a few days before the ***ushima nuclear disaster.
Once I had finished setting it up, close to half of its time with me has been spent towing my off-road caravan. These days it’s waiting for it’s next big adventure.

Welcome.

What caravan are you towing?
It’s 2012 20’ Bushtracker Off-road van. It has a roof mounted auto satellite TV dish, onboard UV water sterilisation, 4 solar panels, 4 batteries, 4 x 90 litre water tanks amongst other features. Do you get to use your Kimberley well off the beaten track?
