Hi Guys, I have just completed the second in a series of 5 or six warn 8274 winch videos. So far I have the complete tear down and reassembly of the 8274 done, the others will include installation, rope installation, my modifications, and albright solenoid install. Have a look if you like:

wow! I think I've watched every one of your how to video's. Rebuilt my spare aisin hubs as a result. Will do my 8274 this winter...after seeing all of your rebuild segments. pictures are worth a 1000 words, and video is worth 10x a picture.

Very fine job. Makes it looks easy! Wish you had done this before I rebuilt mine. I may have to go back and seal the motor.

Awesome Louis!

Watching that tells me that I really ought to rebuild our 8074.....

Dan-

I rebuilt an 8074 and it was just a little different but nothing that an 8274 tutorial wouldn't cover.

I found the thread below very helpful. Also following the links in it, and watch just about every video available. I tried to assemble the brake several time like in the video and struggled keeping the balls in place. I found either a video or a write up using either a large bolt or threaded rod vertically in a vise and used it as a press to get the 2 halves together, then using small clamps to hold it together and installing on the shaft.

Here ya go, post #5. For easy brake assembly.

Sadly, I tried the "free stickers" from support. nope! $50-$70 for stickers... boo.
