DuckLN replied to the thread Recommendation on selling.
I sold a dodge 2500 cummins ram on auto trader. Had a convivial exchange from a buyer who was close enough that we could meet for test drive. Easy peazy.

Whenever possible use OEM: A broken OEM bush outperforms a new aftermarket bushing! I deal with toyotas since 1990 and their quality is superior (I laugh when A/M part says meet or exceed the quality of a toyota part)! You can buy OEM bushings...

My advice is to get oem. Hurts once. There are some products out there that simply don’t hold up.

Update: my 2006 lc idles to 1,400 rpms on cold start with a/c on. My radiator is only a few months old.

My 2006 lc has always been loud on startup and and I too replaced the fan clutch which didn’t make any difference. I forget how many rpms it revs to on cold startup but it quiets down after a couple three minutes. I have a coworker with a 2007...

Arkansas is one of the states that doesnt perform vehicle inspections and ive always wondered if i could delete the cats without developing codes. There was a thread covering this topic a few years back but i can’t recall the details.

My lbjs were pressed all the way in gator. One concern at install was that they went in too far actually as there was a tiny space between the retainer ring and the control arm. There are other threads about 555 not installing properly btw. For...

DuckLN replied to the thread Bad Results with 555 Ball Joints.
I believe they’re the cheapest worst made poorly engineered cost cut item ive ever bot for this cruiser. For gosh sakes how much did they save by not using a stainless retainer ring? I’m embarrassed for 555 tbh. Thats my opinion developed from...

DuckLN replied to the thread Bad Results with 555 Ball Joints.
The boots on my 555 lbjs were removed during install as that reveals a nice flat surface for which a press can push. Once pressed in, you can reinstall the boot perfectly and thats what was done on mine. They still tore in a little over a year...

Life is all about experience- Some good some not so good! My experience with 555 ball joints was bad -one developed a torn boot after about 1 year or about 10k miles and i have oem sized tires and don’t offroad. My mechanic said to get moog or...

If you like doing something like lower ball joints twice, get victimized by 555s. Ball joints aren’t parts that i’ll ever skimp on again.

DuckLN replied to the thread Body Side molding question.
The moldings pop off with your fingers or plastic pry. Sometimes you damage the clip and sometimes they’re reusable. The clips will pop out if you rotate them 90 degrees. Remove old 2 sided tape. Take to body shop and give em paint code to...
