Can someone help me understand this wiring diagram?

Looks like all my solenoids work (and I hear them click)…. bad motor windings?

Thanks -

Rocky

Thank you - and that is what I am seeing on the solenoids.

It looks to me like my solenoids and wiring are connected correctly…. I was winching for about an hour and the spool just stopped going in.

I’m pretty sure it’s in the motor, but don’t want to pull it if there’s something else I should check.

I’m also curious about the circuit inside the motor housing,,,

jump the motor direct.
power to either F terminal. ground to the body or bolt jump between the other F and A.
move the power to the opposite field and repeat for the opposite direction.

Good idea!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I should have thought of that!

agree, test the motor first. Here is a simple way. I use jumper cables from a battery to bench test winch motors.

You might be hearing one solenoid click but not the other. I’m betting on one bad solenoid.
