Yuppers, that’s why we put the 6hp motor on the 8274 not only fast but powerful as well, it brings out the full potential of what this winch can doI saw a Warn rating on that setup for 10k lbs (although that may be old news).

well saidGood job. The 8274 is more than up to that task and the high retrieval speed means you aren't there all day doing it (or spooling line back in).
What you did and other chores like that are what I use mine for 99% of the time. I have mine mounted on a Early Model Bronco that I use around the ranch for all sorts of jobs. I bought my 8274 new in 1983 for $365.00 and lord knows I've gotten my money out of it.
It isn't right winch for everyone....but its a damn good winch for a lot of us.
