The gauge cluster was a bit rough so I sanded it all out and painted it. Gauges are Speed Hut. Gauge mounting plates by 4 Plus

Side panels and carpet give you an idea of the interior. Body color goes through on the tops of the doors as well.

What's more fun than drilling a hole in the roof? Harness runs down driver B pillar.

Thank you Onur. There are many builders out there with the qualities you mention. That is why we've been going to classic car auctions. Amazing how many little details you can pick up if you pay attention. I am a lucky man to get builds like the current build in my shop, keeps me on my toes.

Stan's builds are exquisite, and while I have not met him in person, we conversed a bit through pm. As Onur said, onward Stan, your work is impressive.

You are too kind sir, thank you

Not yet, it's a tight fit. I've used this set up on every swap so far.

Hmm doing the same on the swap i am working on and have the 90° at the fj62 air box cut down as close as i can to get a clamp on it haven't tried putting the hood back on after the last cut down of the 90 but man the 4inch air intake is big really didn't want to cut the hood support maybe i can notch it and put some metal back in.
Thank you for responding back
Tommy

Incredible build! I have major engine bay envy! It’s so clean and tidy. Your photos make me want to tear into mine and rework a lot of stuff.

The owner of this rig must be getting really excited.

Top work as always!

Beautiful work, Stan!

Thank you Dave.

Most of us have seen grills and headlight surrounds that are bubbling and peeling. The parts have a sort of metallic coating on them that bubbles up in areas but when you start cleaning them up you find that once the bubbled up loose part is removed, the rest seems to be fine. Seems being the key word.

My fear is that if I only blast and feather out the bubbled sections, prime and paint it that somewhere down the line this will come back and haunt me and my customer. So I have blasted them down to bare plastic. Lots of little imperfections in the plastic. They will be painted two tone, black and a shade of gun metal.
