No undercoating, Lizard Skin (LS) top coated with gloss black paint. LS is pretty tough stuff. I had to remove it from a piece and a grinder was in order.

A little Ron Davis porn, beautiful craftsmanship.

Working on maintaining the company name. Brake and fuel lines
There will be a heat shield between header and brake lines, small rubber section between firewall and frame line/fuel rail

There has to be some flex between the firewall hard line and the fuel rail to accommodate body/frame flex. I had one push lock fitting fail in ten years, it happened to be a trans cooler line. Gates power grip clamps will prevent it happening again. Suspenders and a belt :)

Knocked out a lot of the Dynamat today. The knock test on the rear quarter produces a solid thud. Puts a smile on my face.

Good morning Ed and thank you. I will not be installing the headliner myself. At least that's the plan. I am very happy with how the Lizard Skin combined with the Dynamat and X Mat turned out. I rap on my stock 62, with all glass etc and it sounds like a tin can. I rap on this one in the very same spot and it is a dull thud. This is going to be one quiet truck. Cant say that I am looking forward to getting my arms up inside the doors though :)

I can't wait to do all that deadening on mine. That and window tint make it it into a completely different vehicle. Butyl in the rear 1/4's is smart, most overlook that area and its actually where most of the road noise comes from.

Hey Stan, how long does it take you to complete one of these restomods? A year and a half, two? I see it's been a little more than a year now. I was curious to see how quick can one man finish one of these by him/herself. I am afraid to tear into my truck due to fear of never finishing it and it ending up a basket case. Your thread and others on here serve as motivation though...

The pedal that comes with the LS3 is awful, unless you are installing it in a dump truck. So a little modification using a Lokar pedal and arm is the solution. I cut the tab (arrow) off the bracket and welded it back where shown and slotted it to make assembly to the OEM pedal mount platform easier. A couple spacers allow the back of the bracket to sit flush on the OEM platform.
Pedal is adjustable up and down.

Installed the Lokar shifter and shift indicator boot ring. That's the new day glow yellow shift lever they offer

Hung the front clip. Lots of threads to chase. Everything is loose currently. I want to hang the doors and get everything lined up prior to locking everything in place. Starting to look like a truck. The Dune Beige and black combo is really growing on me.
