There's vacuum assist without the tank, as long as the lines are connected, just theoretically less reserve.

I considered adding one to my Ford diesel... I first replaced the vacuum pump with a new one... it never worked great. 9500 lbs with a mediocre vacuum pump is about 4 tons of fun 
After replacing the new aftermarket one with a Remanufactured OEM one... that ended the need to rev it up to build vacuum to have brakes.

I've never actually had a vac reservoir on any of my 40's. Ever. Never noticed any difference to be honest
I suppose it gives you one or two extra boosted pumps of the brakes if the engine stalls, but whens the last time a 3b actually stalled?

Yeah does seem like he got all the p.a. seconds somehow. I flagged that cabinet ad a month or two ago when he wanted a hundred bucks for it.

I’d hold off for a bigger cabinet, work got one. Small one. Like trying to stuff 5 pounds of $h!t into a 2 pound bag half the time. Annoying

I'd hold out for a bigger one too if I was you. Even the large one at work I use isn't big enough for some of the stuff I want to blast. Speaking of which, maybe you should convince your work you need a sand blaster.

Jan 1 price was $16K from the second buyer. He had bought it for $11K prior to that. So now it's $34K.
Yup, someone here should have got it 2 months ago.
