On my quest to basically order way too many parts and eventually ‘get to everything’, I have a question about the valve cover gasket for my 1964 FJ40 with F engine?

Which one will work? I see sites listing years 60-74 with the same gasket and others list 69-74. Are those different gaskets?? They all use the same stock photo on eBay. CruiserTeq and SOR list the 60-74 gaskets.

Any links (with the grommets as well) that will definitely work?

some part systems only go back to 1969
same cork gasket used on steel valve covers
use later rubber gasket if you have an aluminum valve cover

as a PO may have swapped the steel one out for an aluminum one

My valve cover is steel (tested with a magnet).

So anything like this will work?

I bought my clutch slave and master plus braided stainless steel hose from joetlc on ebay at at very good price - very happy I think both the first 2 will fit.

We are confident our CruiserTeq kit fits your 1964 fwiw. All Japanese parts too! Plenty of lower dollar Chinese and Taiwanese seals/gaskets out there... but the effort to do a valve cover re-seal isn't worth the savings imo so we stock only Japanese parts.
