the most effective strategy would just be to wait for the snow to melt

or a big hair dryer

This should do...

Wow!
Not that bad.
I was actually able to slowly move
and would have been out on my own with materials on hand and those I found nearby.
Called a buddy with a Power Wagon and his semi defective winch.
Next move was lifting via rear hitch and laying a log or two down under ps tire, plus a ps rear tire chain.
Disappointed by some the complete lack of adventure and free hi lift skills advancement.

Yeah I could have stopped before I dropped in, my decision to drop in and yes I will cross that section again but just maybe I will chain up a four ahead of time...or not!

Speaking of winches and I may have asked this question a long time ago...... does anybody know of a pto winch from Toyota or other reputable manufacturer that fits an 80 series..... there are a million electrics and probably a few hydraulics (if you can get a unit that fits the 80)...... but I want a mechanical like the 6x and 4x series........

I got to be the one to crawl UNDER a truck stuck like that in snow (no mud with it) 39 years ago because I was the smallest. My brother drove the pickup off the side of the road in 36" of snow and high centered. That was only the FIRST of 3 MAJOR stucks that day. We were out from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, only went a TOTAL of 5 miles, and ran out of gas 1/2 miles from home..........

Cleaned out from under it one coffee can of snow at a time.....

Major snow storm in 1978........Dad had to show us how to drive a 4WD in snow.........We hit the drifts at 70 MPH in 3rd gear WOT........ (not in an LC....)

You folks are not asking the tough questions here!

What cupholders does that have?
