Come on out! I'm sending you my phone number in case you don't have one for anybody else who's going. Cell coverage is spotty on the trails, but it DOES exist in places.

A message to all those who THOUGHT they were going into work today ....... Time to load up the Cruiser and head to the Outpost. (@Roxx)

Aw, crap, I didnt think I could escape so I drove my DD (GTI) to the office, now I am free but would have to go home/swap rides, etc. Hope you all have a great day out there!

Shaun has the best pic of the day ..... Something about going nuts over butts

Can add a few, but not a lot. We stayed on the calmer trails. James' mostly stock 40 was a nice reminder of how well these rigs do right out of the box.

Sam, I'll say it again man. Awesome 73! open-open diff and some talent behind the wheel = no trouble walking it up. I believe you also had the quote for the day but Jason needs to pipe in for accuracy. Starting at the base of Dutch John's deep rut climb .... "Is this a momentum kind of deal?"

Nothing broken  ... that is until James got his heat soaked 40 out on the open road with what we currently believe is a failing fuel pump. Yep .... he brought it home on a hook. :(

Very nice day .... even with the heat. A good rain last night so the dust was down.

Close enough ... The quote was me verifying I was at the bottom of the rut before I "rolled the coal" :)

Great time today.

I'll post up a few pics tomorrow

Don's Body Shop in Denton towed me home. Larry is a good guy... he was very cool, had lots of stories of his days riding URE in his Scout and hooked me up with a VERRRRY reasonable cash price. I'm keeping his number just in case my 46 year old utilitarian vehicle decides that it's done enough for the day :)

Aside from the ending, it was a blast to ride the trails for the first time. Makes me want to get a slightly less than perfect one so that I can hang with you guys on the heavy stuff without worrying about scratching the paint.

Jason - thanks a TON for the trail sherpa duties. Really helped with the confidence. Apparently, it's not a race... Thanks to Rice for reminding me of that. Great meeting everyone and thanks everyone for the help, the push, and ultimately for an adventure....

Can't wait to do it again, with a new fuel pump... :)

Shaun and I had a good time today. I felt like we were out of the loop a bit spending the day in the rear but we still managed to see Sam tackle some stuff. Didn't see James do anything from that far back. Didn't break anything, so that was comforting, and I finally got to use the URE rifle range! Came home with a big bag of cans, bottles and plastic skid plates for the trash man.

Great pumps, I use them on swaps, loud as hell. I build a sheet metal box around them and insulate and they are tolerable. I run them for the pressure, LSX requires 58 lbs. Not sure if you need that much for the TBI or not. Does your system run a return leg?

Better price here

Hey James. Glad you made it back safe and thanks for the ride along!

Can't say for sure but it would be nice to see psi ratings. I see it listed as high pressure and only good to 150. Most tbi units want 9-15 psi. I believe you could use a higher psi pump if you have a fuel pressure regulator with a return line setup. But don't go on my advice. Just what I recall from my tbi readings

What a great day on the trails and at the lake. Only saw one other vehicle and covered some decent ground and got about 3 bags if trash filled total I believe.
