Thanks ya'll. I certainly lucked into this one. I talked with the lady today and you could tell she was kinda ticked...apparently somone showed up after me and told them he would have paid their asking price. I obviously didn't.
But this is exactly what I need to learn on. I can learn about body work, restoring the interior, the seals, the floorboards, the engine, the list goes on and on.
The good thing is that it's certainly road worthy and running!

I'm sure the pics don't do the pig justice. They are just so impressive
in person. Be prepared to spend an additional 10 or 15 minutes when
you get gas or park it near a crowd. Rubber neckers come from everywhere
to ask about them. Get ready for the "Do you want to sell it" crowds too.
NOTHING draws interest like old Cruisers. Period. Pigs especially.

Yeah, I thought that too. Who needs a pig with no light!
Actually, I drove it to the gas station and immediately people were asking about it. Kinda fun cause I still get that with the FJC too. I think they are peas in a pod!
Awesome rig Heather and the only way you are goin to get it to go fast is to put a V8 in it...lol....nah if you get it tuned correctly you should be able to top out around 60 - 70 mph....Have fun and good luck

the funny thing is all the factory lit. I have from the early 60's to the 70's claim top speed for a 40 to be 85 and wagons to be 75 ............. I even have some reviews from 4-wheel drive magazines from the 60's that said they cruised at 80 mph comfortably on the highways........
I had my 55 up to 80+ once on the way home to ATL from Rapid City, SD ...thought I was gonna die. I drove 60 the rest of the way.
I miss that pig. Maybe I will get a BJ70 to wheel since it is shorter and still looks somewhat like a pig

I think my pig would explode at 60 mph. I get 55 tops. But then again, it's only a 3 speed.
It was good to see you last night John, and thanks for the comments. I am going to get started on the body work as soon as I have the tape mod on my FJCruiser fixed at the body shop. My sow will be my DD for a couple of weeks! That should get me familiar with all it's quirks!

It's a beautiful pig... and looks a lot better the slower it goes. Looked great at 0MPH last night!
