the 3fe will bolt up to the later 2f bell housings.

i think they are stamped 3f, atleast my 86 and 87 housings were.

the hard part is the wiring for the efi.

the rest would be fairly easy, the exhaust a bit pricey but other than that it's as direct as an EFI engine swap as you can get for the cruiser.

after a year of trying to sell my late F bellhousing it went to the scrap yard :( along with the flywheel and a low mileage clutch/pressure plate.

Actually the 3FE will bolt up to any F bell housing 58-87.... have one now bolted up to an F bellhousing in my 40.

The 86 and 87 bell housing stamped 3F only comes into play if you are trying to bolt in an H55 transmission swap as many FJ62 owners do....

Can anyone recommend a good body shop in greenville? Wife got a small dent and scratch on the back part of her trunk on her 08 accord. Got a quote from Fender Mender for $800 bucks. Some BS to do with having a hard time with the oem white pearl paint and flake.

finish masters on 183/sulpher springs rd does a good job.

Barry Pittman Body Shop in Greer, on 14 between I85 and pelham.

Thats great even a little reminiscent of the one from Texas. I think I laughed for about 15 minutes straight when I first saw the story.

Has anyone seen these hood supports/struts for FJ40's? Think they are too cheezy for such a classic rig? I don't have a prop rod so my hood keeps getting beat up on the windshield.

I think they'd be perfect...as long as the hood opens up enough to be able to wrench on it when you need to.

I never new how much of a mess a fuel leak on a high-pressure system would make. I guess a busted hose with 100psi of fuel can really spray the whole engine down. If that happens while driving I fully understand how engine fires occur.

Should have known better than to try to use recycled fuel lines from a previous project. Now everything will be new from the pre-filter to the fuel rail.

My hell for the week.

Every single nut on the studs stripped. I ended up having to plasma cut all them off. The other side took maybe 30 min to take off.

When I work on my stuff, it usually goes pretty smooth and somewhat as planned. When I work on someone e'ses's junk all hell breaks loose, and Murphy's Law takes over. Good luck with the rest.

On the SS braided hoses, will they still work with the push-lock AN fittings, or do they have to be crimped on?

Just found the SS braided stuff. Man, that is money. I would have to throw away these $25 in fittings and then spend another $70 in hose and fittings. The Aeroquip stuff that I have now is rated at 250 psi, and 300* and is used in racing. I can get the hose I need for $24, so I will give it a try. This hose I had was just dry-rotted. I should have caught it. Thanks though, hopefully I won't be sorry down the road. The SS covering looks good for abrasion resistance though. Only problem I would see with it is that you can't see the rubber underneath to know when it starts to crack.

I have stayed there twice, very nice place. Yes, those two little creeks are alot of fun for swimming and yes they do get deep when it rains.

Good to know. I looked on available dates. Looks like this place is quite busy. This might be something we plan a year in advance. Since sites have been booked a year in advance.
