steve I dont know if this fits the bill, but friend has an 87 crx si with a knocking motor, he wants 450 for it,,,

You can't beat the old type 1 beetle engines. The wife wants me to find her a Van and use it for running around town and camping. I have been looking at the 68-71' Bay Window buses with the type 1 Beetle engine. I heard bad things about the type 4 "pancake" engine in the 72'-up buses.

I should get an old VW Bus and race it - only problem (besides being slower than Christmas) is all the dang tube it would take to make a cage.

Yeah, it's an 82' Westfalia that needs to be fixed up. He wants $2400, but it doesn't have 4th gear, and needs paint and interior. However, it came from Arizona and is rust-free, so it might be worth looking at. I like the character of the old Bay windows, but this one might drive a little better, and since it needs tranny work anyway I could put an auto in for the :princess:.

you wouldn't want the stock crx engine anyway.

with advances in hydro to cable tranny swap kits and easy avalibility of B series engines you'd want a honda that is either already swapped or has a bad engine!

Wanna put your money where your mouth is??? I do believe my old tired 3FE would own your V8...... mainly because you are runnig such big tires :steer:

Just got the carb. working nicely today. I would be willing to drag you now before the FI. Remember my Rockers run small, only sit at about 35" tall at street pressure. I can light up the rear tires no problem:grinpimp:

It would be interesting to run with Marshall with his running the same size tires as me.

Have been in Lumberton, NC these past few days. My great grandfather donated a bunch of stuff to the library there. I was give a key to the room and started digging through his stuff. Kind of cool to hold his pocket watch and top hats. I thought these letters he had saved were pretty cool. Crazy they just sit locked away where none will see them.

That's some amazing stuff Marshall. Amazing glimpse into NC history. You should open a museum.

It has to be asked: how the hell did the apple fall so far from the tree?!?!?
