Found a letter that was sent to him about not being able to make the rhodendrum festival. In it it mentions a book that was received along with the invitation. It was called "North Carolina: A good place to live.". I found a copy online. Pretty cool. I had no idea he did that.


It's a really good read.

Got most of the plumbing done on the bathroom. PEX piping is a really cool product.

Sod should not be a problem but the concrete must be done correctly the first time or else.

Laying is not the issue, finding a good price is. Called around yesterday and it seems the prices vary alot with each company.

Can't help ya there. I've laid a bunch of sod for friends but never bought any myself.

How much you need? My friend owns a sod farm in Lake City. If he has any jobs up your way he can add it to his delivery truck and bring it when he can.

I've had the best results with Super Sod in G'ville. I've laid a good bit (not to be in landscaping) and theirs always seemed to be cut the best w/o a bunch of scrappy pieces left over...IMHO.
