Thinking I may try to build one of these. The base trailer is from lowest at $450. Could probably be built for under 2k including price of the trailer.

Been meaning to share this we came up on this guy back in January in my dads truck (2012 tundra) on horsepasture rd in NC. A guy was driving that had just gotten his license and was going to fast considering the whole road was covered in a sheet of ice. He came over one of the rises in the road locked his brakes and slid off the side. Im not sure if you can tell but there is one tree that the roof of his cab right over the drivers door was resting on that was keeping the whole thing from going down about a 50 foot drop. A older suburban was already hooking to it when we came up and couldn't budge it, then we hooked to the suburban and even with yanking with both truck in 4wd could only get it up about a foot. Really needed a winch unfortunately none of the guys that stopped had one. Eventually his dad came along and told us (rather rudely considering we were trying to help) to leave it. Whenever we came back out after dark it was gone. He definitely was very lucky it didnt roll down the cliff and he only had very minor damage.

Probably mad at the son.

Bald ass tires too.

Here is the problem with horse pasture. It's like 15 miles long. Speed limit is maybe 15. At some point people get bored and go faster. Wouldn't surprise me to see more of this. We saw a car off the side of the road about 2 miles in this year. The corners are the bigger issue. I've seen people flying down those on a single lane road.

Mega thanks to @Trollhole for basically saving my 80. What I thought was a squeaky pulley was actually a seized pulley. Not to mention an inverted belt along with a missing one. I was about to send my sister and her husband and 2 kids to Myrtle Beach in it. I was trying to save them cash on a rental and almost screwed their vacation. Thanks Marshall for working me in

U get the skid plate? Was it the correct 1.

Congrats, What is that/does that mean Bryan?
I have never owned a vehicle with such mileage, let alone bought one with it already on the ticker. My Jeep was almost there but I bought it with 20k so I knew all the PM that had gone into it. So I sent off an oil sample to Blackstone Labs for any indication of issues (headgasket failure being a concern). The result showed 0 coolant, below average fuel, and low signs of other wear metals. It was high in moly content but that appears to be the result of an oil additive from the OP since it was changed the day before I bought it.

After some wrench time since buying it, I think this was the icing on my confidence in the vehicle.

Took the fam up to Sierra Nevada. No wheat wine. Boooo.
That sucks. This one is pretty close. Can get it off the menu for 20$ a bottle. I want a keg of it.
