Also, on an unrelated topic, I just bought a replacement stereo for my daughter's '94 FZJ80 (Pioneer AVIC-5201 NEX) because apparently driving without NAV and the ability to plug her IPhone into something is near torture. Anyway, the "Toyota specific" harness adapter is a generic Metra plug set (one for power and front speakers <10 way>, one for rear speakers <4 way>), which is intended to be joined to the Pioneer harness with crimp-on bullet connectors (which I loathe). So my evil plan is to pull the pigtails out of the Metra connectors and install the Pioneer wiring, with new male terminals. Crutchfield (where I bought the head unit) used to have Toyota specific harness adapaters for various manufacturer's units, but the FZJ80s are too old to be of concern anymore (apparently).
I found the correct 0.64-mm Sumitomo male terminals from Ballenger Motorsports (in VA). They also carry most of the Sumitomo connectors Toyota uses, as well as the small plugs (rubber grommets) in the rear of the sealed connector housings (like the one for the oil pressure sending unit connector on the PS inner fender, which is broken on my son's '95). Just thought I'd pass this on, for anyone interested in wiring repair (the Mr. T way).

Somebody recently gave me one of these when they found out I replaced my alternator. Nice stuff (...that I didn't need). Gear wrench 3680 Serpentine Belt Tool. I both love AND hate tools that come in their own unique case. As disorganized as I am, I appreciate keeping all parts in the same case but every damn case is a different size so how the hell would you line them up on a shelf, or in a drawer, with any kind of logic???? First world, OCD, ADD, anxiety and just-give-up-all-hope problems.

Last stereo I replaced in a work van was originally installed at a Circuit City. There were about 15 regular 110v yellow wire nuts holding old to new. Yes, the large yellow ones that hold three 14ga wires. I wish I had a picture of that giant ball of connectors.
