Nice work, looks awesome!

That was quick, good job Tyler and Edmonton crew!

Looks fantastic, hard to believe how quickly the body work came together!!!

Saw it today, more impressive up close for sure.

That was an insane amount of work in a very short time. She looks fantastic!

Now I want one.:crybaby:

Dude, this thing is on point.

Got back last night from the clunker run up the trunk road. Truck ran really well and had a blast. Couple things went wrong the largest of which was a sheared rear swing out spindle. I lost my spare tire at the end of an epically bumpy road. The spare is super heavy so I wasn't shocked but still disappointed. Now I'll need to build a double shear mount on the bumper to better hold the tire. Hopefully that will be sturdy enough.

I think for general use it would have been fine but this particular road was awful bumpy.

I don't think you should be disappointed considering the epic sprint to the finish. I'm totally impressed with how it came out considering the time press to make that trip. I still say fanatstic job and kudos to all the extra hands that made that possible.

I would like to put it to a vote: nicest looking Land Cruiser in Canada! So well done,

Well I'm flattered but don't think it's deserved. There are a lot of gorgeous rigs out there to pic just one. I've said from the start this is my dream build. Few more boxes to check to make it exactly what I want but it's getting so much closer.

I think it is because it is the original style that attracts me as well as others, and fills the picture in our
heads of the cool safari/outback rig. I lived in Africa and have pictures of LR's and Troopies in my
memory wandering the dusty backroads.
How do you find the beadlocks? I find the weight of them a bit much, how are they on the road? I know fuel
economy is an oxymoron, but with my #85 lb Toyos' figured they were a bit much.

Love them so far. They are a heavy combo that's for sure. I've been pretty happy though overall. I think I've been getting 14-15l/100. Not bad for a heavy brick with a wing on top.

The wing probably helps lift it off the road a bit, reducing the friction drag at your cruisin' speed;)

Well not much progress on troopy these days. Hoping to acquire some new one ton axles for it. Plan is to go one tons on links for various reasons. Found a rear axle but looking now for a kingpin Dana 60 with 4.10 gearing.

Until I get two built axles he will likely stay sitting. It's been a good run but I really should save up and finish him.

Back at troopy this weekend to prep for the drive to California. Re greased all hubs. Installed steering stabilizer. Swapped rear diff. Tidied some more wiring and went for a test drive.

Much quieter than before. That thing was howling.

I also installed some shorter rear shackles to lower the back end and lessen the rake the truck had. That's seem to have worked out nicely.

Couple other things I'm
Hoping to tack this week. Might attempt my swing out kitchen idea before long. Need to reinforce the spindle though so it doesn't fall off like that last one. Double sheer mount should manage it.

So, T'nS is solidly in your plans?

You bet! And we're doing it old skool and driving troopy down!

To make that drive a little more tolerable I installed some sound proofing in it today. Fancy mat that is lined with closed cell foam onto mass loaded vinyl onto a rubber pattern. It was pricey but installed nicely and cleaned up the interior. Noticeably quieter now too. Can hear different rattle I couldn't before. Still needs some work though and I have a roll of MLV to try and take it down another notch. I may pick up some foam to glue to it to make my own cheaper version.
