No I missed out on a 12ht from Jon. Some crossed wires was all. Anyway I did see that 2ht and it would be a good bet too. Not sure what the ask would be on it. This other parts rig was very reasonable for a engine tranny combo. I may be able to still sell some bits to cover some of the original pricing. Who isn't looking for an automatic trans to swap into a cruiser....
Hoping I can make a really cool driveline combo. End of feb will bring some extra goodies as funds allow. I'm so hoping to do a range box like nwf black box. That would be my crawl ratio over 100:1 and make the truck pretty versatile.
With the bump in power from the hz ill run 4.10 diffs as should rev comfortably on the highway even on 37s. I may keep my 456 but really think ill go 4.10
The t case on the troopy has the e brake built onto it. While still being a split case. It needs a rebuild bad so there is some work there. I also think is has the lower gearing at 2.29 vs 1.9 in my 60. It also is full manual shift. The 60 case is vac actuated. Could sell the 60 case as it was recently rebuilt too but we have enough cruisers around it likely makes sense to keep everything
This motor is 24v and the truck 12v. I need to be creative to get all that sorted. My plan is basically a 24v main starting system with a 12vauxillary. The auxiliary in this case though will run all the lights on the rig rather than just a radio. I have a great 24-12v converter for up to 60 amps so I should be just fine. That couples with my 2 deep cycle 6 volt batteries should offer lots of umph.
Way off in the future when I build a roof rack is like. 80-100w solar cell up top. Would only really work at 50 or so being flat mounted but would still trickle charge my systems.
