Anyone know the differences in results between this TransGo kit mod and from adjusting the primary regulator valve position?

So adjusting the pressure valve to a higher setting just increases line pressure but the TransGo kit increases line flow (larger holes) and pressure (via the new springs)?

That is correct the Transgo kit, increases line pressure, increases flow, and to combat that it also has stiffer springs on the accumulators or buffers. In the automatic transmission an accumulator's function does as it's name implies, it accumulates or absorbs fluid in a clutch apply circuit and normally uses a spring loaded piston to cushion the apply of a clutch or band. Without an accumulator in the apply fluid circuit, the rapid buildup of fluid pressure would cause the clutch or band to apply very quickly and create a harsh or "bang" shift.

Great question. I was just wondering the same thing. I was considered bumping up one notch from wherever it currently is

I left my pressure regualtor as M, because I wanted to be able to test it and see if I needed to go to H or L, but I am fine at M. Later if I feel like there is some slipping or high heat I would bump it to H. Alternatively if you do the transgo kit on a NA motor and it feels too harsh you could bump it down to L.

A question, just to clarify, is it correct that I should have ball bearings in all the locations noted on the instructions? I lost a few bb when I flipped the upper over. I am assuming I should have bb in every location they note on the diagram other than the locations where they specifically say to remove them?

Look forward to hearing your impressions on and off road. I just completed my SC install last weekend and wouldn't mind firmer shifting.

Yeah it isn't an easy process, the first time, it probably took me 4 maybe 4.5 hours. But the second time I bet you could do it in under 2. But still a very messy job, since the system stills has around 2 gallons of fluid in it when drained.

good one tractor. so is there one of these kits for a full hydrolic a442 that the diesels have behind them. i dont see a listing on there website?
